About Anvar

Write a review
I grew up in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, and went to a Uzbek-Turkish high school where I also taught English and Turkish. After graduating high school, I decided to work in the telecommunications sphere, but during my university years, I worked as a night shift manager at one of the private hotels in Tashkent. It was doing this where I fell in love with tourism. So I joined the travel industry in 2007 after I graduated from university. I loved that in tourism I was able to talk to people from all over the world and learn so many things about their cultures, economies, lifestyles, and more. Introducing my country to people from other countries personally motivates me to work in the travel industry. I hope that when people hear the names of our cities, Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva, they will want to fly here to visit — just like people do when they hear Paris or London!

Anvar's Expertise

My expertise is designing custom travel packages around the region, including in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. I design trips for individual and group travelers, based on their specific interests and wishes. I am great at working with people and offering them a private, unique package rather than a standard tour. I can customize a trip to many different locations and include a variety of activities like sightseeing, hiking, horseback riding, culture, food tours, etc. It makes me so happy when the guests enjoy their travel and return, trusting me with their next trip.

Best Travel Experience

One of my most memorable trips was to Charyn Canyon in Kazakhstan. When traveling, sometimes you get the opportunity to see something really unique and you simply have to take it. This was one of those occasions. The sights of Charyn Canyon are superb, the hike down, the sheer natural beauty, and the scale of the place. I would thoroughly recommend going if in Almaty, not least because I would say that the journey there also gives you a real feel of Kazakhstan.

Why is Anvar the right travel expert?

I have been traveling a lot since 2007 and I have my own experience as a traveler and guide, which helps me plan really great trips for other people. One of the advantages of working with me is that I am a local tour operator who can design and offer group and individual tours to countries that I have visited myself. I willingly share my own experience with people who wish to travel to any of the Silk Road countries.

An unforgettable journey crafted with excellence

Embarking on a 16-day adventure across the storied lands of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan was not just a tick on our travel bucket list—it was a journey that surpassed every expectation, thanks to the impeccable organisation and thoughtful planning of our tour organiser, Anvar Kodirov. From start to finish, every detail was handled with professionalism, warmth, and a genuine passion for showcasing the treasures of Central Asia. Upon arrival, it was immediately clear that every aspect of the tour had been carefully thought through. Airport transfers, transportation between cities, and all logistical details were managed flawlessly. We never once had to worry about timings, tickets, or directions. A standout feature of our tour was the selection of hotels. In every city—Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Ashgabat, and others—the accommodations were not only comfortable and welcoming, but also exceptionally well located. Each hotel was within easy walking distance to the major attractions, restaurants, and vibrant markets. This proximity allowed us to explore at our own pace, enjoy spontaneous strolls after dinner, and immerse ourselves in the lively atmosphere of each city. Our guides were patient, approachable, and always ready to answer questions or accommodate special interests. Whether wandering through the ancient streets of Khiva, marvelling at the Registan in Samarkand, or exploring the surreal landscapes of Turkmenistan, we felt both informed and inspired. Their passion and pride in their heritage shone through at every turn. Our itinerary was a harmonious blend of must-see landmarks and unique, off-the-beaten-path experiences. From the majestic blue domes of Samarkand to the stark white marble of Ashgabat, each day offered a new chapter in the story of Central Asia. We explored bustling bazaars, sampled delicious local cuisine, and even had opportunities for meaningful interactions with local artisans and families. Cultural performances, traditional crafts demonstrations, and optional excursions were seamlessly integrated into the tour, providing a well-rounded and immersive experience. We appreciated the flexibility built into the schedule, allowing us to enjoy moments of quiet reflection or spontaneous discoveries. Reflecting on our 16 days in Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, we are truly grateful for an experience that was perfect in every way. There was not a single moment of stress or disappointment—only awe, wonder, and deep appreciation for the cultures, landscapes, and people we encountered. The flawless organisation, the quality of the accommodations, the engaging guides, and the unwavering support from Anvar created a travel experience we will cherish forever. We wholeheartedly recommend Anvar Kodirov as a tour organizer for anyone considering a journey through Central Asia. His professionalism, kindness, and expertise transformed our trip from a holiday into a life-enriching adventure. To Anvar, we extend our deepest thanks for managing everything with such skill and heart. We returned home with not only memories and photographs, but also with a newfound love for this remarkable region. If you are searching for a tour that combines seamless organisation, exceptional accommodations, and insightful guiding, look no further. Our heartfelt thanks to Anvar and his entire team for giving us the gift of an unforgettable adventure through Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
