It was a splendid introductory trip. The guides in each city were very good; the the cities themselves were fascinating. We chose our own restaurants which was easy. The museums were quite spectacular, and if you like art Botelo is a master of painting and sculpture. I must say I was confused about the preparatory organization, since it all seemed to be done on-line; and did not come together in a package for us until a few days before we arrived, but in the end the logistics were excellent. The cars and guides arrived on time at every stop, and the hotels were very good. So all in all, well done.

I booked this trip very last minute with less than a week before the departure date and Explore were as always great in sorting out my flights and the arrangements. This trip was a great mix of cities and walking in the lovely countryside through some idyllic little villages. The cities were all different and absolutely beautiful and all the hotels so well situated for walking to all main sights. Craig our tour guide did an excellent job of making sure everything was well organised and thus the arrangements all ran like clockwork. Craig went the extra mile in showing us things that were not on the itinerary and really made the trip so enjoyable. He gave us a wealth of information on the history, culture and also the ways of life in the area where his house is. His passion and great humour made it so much more interesting. I especially loved all the little Spanish villages we visited on the walking days and eating delicious food with the locals in the village restaurants. All in all a really great trip once again from Explore 👍

The trip was above my expectations. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The family was always helpful, happy to help and provide whatever was needed. The leader was impeccable! Friendly, funny, helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. The group and the weather (early June) also made this trip amazing. The pasta/mozarella workshop and the pizza making demonstrations are very much worth it. Ohh and the meals were delicious!

Had an amazing time in Japan! The only thing we can say which really wasn’t a challenge as such, was that on our last morning we were being picked up for the airport before the hotel’s breakfast time and we had already paid for that meal. So we had to purchase breakfast elsewhere. Onsens are always a great experience. All three trips that we have booked with you previously have all been a great experience

It’s been 1 year since the first week of June, 2025 when my wife and I did the 1-week cycling of the Puglia region beginning in the city/town of Matera (which is in the Basilicata region, right on the border of the Puglia region). We had such an amazing time exploring the back country roads and many small quaint towns the Puglia region offers. So many memorable stops along the way including caffe, gelato, walks in town squares (piazza). The group of 15 riders plus Emanuele (local tour guide) and Leonardo (driver/assistant) were all great people to spend a vacation with.

An absolutely amazing experience! The tour was incredibly well-organized from start to finish. We stayed at a beautiful chalet with breathtaking, insane views of Mont Blanc. Our guide, Adrian, was fantastic. He was always there to help with any question or situation, and his explanations of the routes we hiked were super clear and helpful. He was always available, incredibly patient, and brought such a fun energy to the group with his great sense of humor. Also thanks to Julieta and Odran, the two chalet hosts. They took amazing care of us, cooked delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and were incredibly nice and welcoming throughout the whole trip. As a small note regarding dinner, the meals were plated individually as a starter, main, and dessert. While it was lovely, I would have personally preferred a style where food is placed on the table so everyone can choose their own portions. To sum up, it was an amazing adventure.

We provided him with a list of our desired activities and accommodations for our 15-day trip, and Lahiru responded with an excellent itinerary and fantastic hotel recommendations. The price was reasonable, and the all-inclusive package meant we didn’t have to worry about any additional services. The hotels we stayed at was great, excellent food and amazing hospitality. The van was in good condition, equipped with air conditioning, and our driver, Asanka, skillfully navigated Sri Lanka's challenging roads. Lahiru, who also served as our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and kind, making our experience even more enjoyable. Without a doubt, this is one of the best tour operators in Sri Lanka. The tour and the guide were excellent, and we saw a lot more than we were expecting in Havana. They were also flexible in letting us see some places on our list so we appreciate it. Mustang Trek Review Our Mustang journey was an extraordinary experience from start to finish - one defined not only by the landscape, but by the people, the culture, and the challenge of the trek itself. The Leader and the Team We were fortunate to travel with a truly outstanding team which was capably led by a wonderful team leader. They were consistently supportive, attentive, and incredibly hardworking, creating an atmosphere of encouragement from day one. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their quiet professionalism played a huge role in making the experience both enjoyable and safe. A highlight was the bowl of warm water every morning and night - so appreciated. Food The food was a pleasant and often surprising highlight. Each meal offered plenty of variety, and there was always an abundance - no one was ever left hungry. Whether it was traditional dishes or familiar comfort options, everything was well prepared. A particularly memorable touch was the black tea, which became a daily ritual and the perfect way to start mornings on the trail. Scenery Mustang's landscape is both brutal and beautiful in equal measure. Stark, wind-swept terrain and dramatic hills gave way to moments of striking natural beauty. The rawness of the environment is confronting, but it is exactly this contrast that makes it so unforgettable. The Trekking Experience The trek itself was expertly led by a highly reputable and responsible team leader, clearly well respected within the local community. His leadership inspired confidence throughout the journey, ensuring not only our safety but also a deeper appreciation of the region and its culture. Physically, the walk was demanding. At times it was technically challenging, requiring focus and care underfoot. More often, it was personally testing - long, tough climbs followed by even more punishing descents. Yet it was precisely these challenges that made the experience so rewarding. The trek is not to be taken lightly. It is at the top end of a challenging walk. Tiji Festival A true highlight was witnessing the Tiji Festival - a remarkable three-day cultural event. The colour, ceremony, and energy of the festival provided a rare and authentic glimpse into local traditions, adding a powerful cultural dimension to the trek. Summary Overall, the Mustang trek was exceptionally well organised and ably led. Supported by a fantastic team, enriched by unique cultural experiences, and set against a landscape that is as demanding as it is beautiful, it is a journey that will stay with us for a lifetime.
