A Fascinating Ride to Meet the Artisans of Hue - September 2026

Situated on the bank of the Perfume River, Thanh Tien and Sinh villages are famous for their handicraft products representing the life and culture of Vietnamese people. On this tour, ride a bicycle to these villages where you can learn more about local handicraft making and even make your own work of art to bring home! In the morning, meet your tour guide and choose your bike before starting the cycling trip to the traditional craft villages. En route on your bicycle, stop at a number of places to capture snapshots of life and people in the former imperial city. Following your tour guide, you will ride across Truong Tien Bridge and then slowly walk with your bike through the back of Dong Ba market where you will have a chance to explore lots of differences in the shopping habit and food ingredients of Vietnamese. After about 15 minutes, you will reach a less touristic place named Bao Vinh - an ancient town having houses with over hundreds of years situated a long the narrow street, walking around to learn more about the life and the history of this place before taking a fascinating boat trip across the Perfume river to Tien Non Village. It is about 20 minutes riding from this point to Sinh village, which is famous for its traditional paper paintings. Head to an artist's house, where you can spend some time talking about this special kind of craft and learn how to make a painting from traditional materials. The artist/teacher will guide you step-by-step to create a one-of-a-kind souvenir to bring back home. Continue your cycling trip to Thanh Tien village, which is famous for its traditional craft of making paper flowers passed down to generations about four hundred years. The artisan here will teach you how to make the paper lotus with sophisticated steps. You can choose to make paper lotus in any colours: pink for supreme power, white for purity and violet for the beautiful Hue girl in “Áo dài”. Each colour manifests the beauty of the land and people of Hue. Keep the flowers as a special souvenir. Bid farewell to your hosts, and ride back to the city. Tour ends at your hotel.

Hue Full Day City Tour - September 2026
    Black Week Super Sales

Hue Full Day City Tour - September 2026

Start this Hue city tour at 8am, when your guide and driver pick you up at your hotel. Our first stop will be Dong Ba Market where you can shop and catch a glimpse the daily lives of local people. Next, take a boat trip to Thien Mu pagoda – the historic pagoda on the banks of the Perfume River. Apart from the scenic riverside and hilltop location, the Thien Mu Pagoda and area is rich in history, standing witness to almost four hundred years of tumultuous nation-building in Vietnam. Head back to Hue City for the rest of the tour. The massive Kinh Thanh Citadel is the most well known and iconic site in Hue. Begun in 1805 by Emperor Gia Long, it is a sprawling complex comprised of the Imperial City, several museums, lakes, and lovely gardens, all laid out in a series of concentric circles. We also visit the Forbidden Purple City, originally built in the early 1800s for the personal use of the emperor and staffed by eunuchs who posed no threat to the royal concubines. We'll then head to Hue Royal Antiques Museum to see a collection of ornaments from the Nguyen Dynasty. After lunch, visit the magnificent and formal Minh Mang Tomb and see how its architectural design harmoniously blends with the natural surroundings. Last stop today will be Khai Dinh Tomb, symbolic of the decline of Vietnamese culture during the colonial era. Unlike Hue’s other tombs, the grandiose concrete structure, built between 1920 and 1931, is a synthesis of Vietnamese and European elements. Even the stone faces of the Mandarin honour guards are endowed with a mixture of both features. The tour finishes at your hotel at 5 pm.
