Everest Base Camp Three Passes Trek 16 days of pure adrenaline rush in the Lap of the Himalayas. You pass on through some of the most stunning views witnessing the great Three High Passes (Renjo La, Cho La, and Kongma La). The trip starts from day one here in Kathmandu, from where you will be catching a flight to Lukla. The trekking part comes into action the same day, as you will be reaching Phakding on the very first day. With the days moving on you go on an adventure to witness the great Everest Base Camp and Mt. Would I recommend this particular adventure to a friend, in a word no. However I would caveat this with I had a great time and I would definitely recommend G adventures as a tour group and these three countries are definitely worth visiting. It's only a couple of small points that need 'ironing out' which is understandable considering the relatively new itinerary that has been created. Our CEO minty ensured a smooth tour and I suspect that another tour guide would have handled the issues not as effectively. Thank you, G Adventures, for a wonderful once in a lifetime experience.

Looking for a long, safe route to the top of Africa's highest peak with necessary acclimatization time built-in? The Northern Circuit route is not just one of the best routes but also the newest official route to ascend Mt. Kilimanjaro. This special route is also the least used and the longest route, perfect for those seeking a remote, peaceful trek. Trekking this trail guarantees excellent acclimatization changeover and exceptional views from the northern slope of the mountain.
The Northern Circuit follows the Lemosho route for the first few days, then ascending the Shira Ridge to cross the high Shira Plateau. Trekkers will leave the Lemosho route to turn northwards and follow the main circuit when approaching near the Lava Tower. Circling clockwise from Moir Hut to Buffalo Camp, trekkers will pass through School Hut before finally summitting from the east. The descent is made via the Mweka route, where it is likely for trekkers to encounter other trekkers from the Lemosho, Shira, Umbwe, Machame or the Marangu routes.
This is an epic journey to one of Nepal’s most famous treks that will take you over some of the highest mountain passes in the world. We will be crossing three mountain passes between 5000m and 5535m. Magnificent landscapes, imposing and prestigious peaks, tapering ridges and colorful villages contribute to turning this trek into an unforgettable experience.
It is possible to walk this trek in either direction, but acclimatisation is easier if you travel from east to west per our itinerary. This means that from Lukla, the entrance point of the Everest region, we will hike to to Dingboche, then Chhukung, crossing the 5,535m Kongma La Pass (the hardest of the 3 passes) to Lobuche. From Lobuche we will trek to Everest Base Camp, Kala Patthar, crossing the 5,420m Cho La Pass to Gokyo, and finally from Gokyo hike over the 5,345m Renjo La Pass down to Thame, Namche Bazar and finally reach back Lukla, from where we will fly back. This trek offers so many stunning views and great experiences; undoubtedly giving you many fond memories. It will be a circuit trek meaning that you will not have to walk on the same trek up and down.
This trek is rather hard, but people in a reasonably fit shape can do it. If you are in doubt as to your physical ability we recommend adding a porter (you can book such via check-out on this site).
