A very enjoyable trip. Well organised, as usual with Exodus, well led, surprisingly hot weather (30+ degrees) and three very interesting counties. We visited several fascinating cities, and heard a lot about the dark days of soviet rule, the struggle for independence, and its eventual achievement in 1991.

A really excellent holiday that takes in some amazing countries and scenery. Everything about this holiday was great from the cities of Tallin, Riga and Vilnius to the Curonian Strait, beatiful beaches and lakes galore. The quality of the food and the accommodation was also surprisingly good.

Lovely whistle stop tour of the Baltics, Ona was very knowledgeable and helpful and it was interesting to hear her stories of life in the USSR. Only thing is she did take us to a couple of quite fancy/expensive restaurants which weren't suitable for everyone.

You will see beautiful old buildings and many other things on this interesting trip but early May was the wrong time to go this year. We were quite cold most of the time. During our walking tour of Tartu, it even snowed a little. At least we didn't encounter much rain. The hotels are very good, with excellent access to the Old Towns in the three capitals. Explore has changed the hotels that people complained about, I think.

Stop at Pirita Convent (St. Brigit's Convent) and discover the story behind the ruins of this monastery. There will also be a photo stop on the coast with the best view of the Tallinn. The bus tour comes to an end in the Old Town of Tallinn from where you will carry out the rest of the tour by foot. The old town consists of two parts, the lower town and the upper town. Here you can see a gothic town hall as well as the oldest functioning pharmacy in the world. You are on your own after this trip is over.
