We saw a T-shirt in Africa that said “it’s not a holiday, it’s an adventure!“ This sums up exactly what this trip is about. Although it took some stamina to camp the entire time and the bus trips were long to get from destination to destination, this was an adventure like no other. Spinning, two nights roughing it in Okavango Delta was magical and we heard lions roaring at night. Our guides were outstanding and the food was better than I could possibly expect, especially since our cook did it all in a campground the safari walks and drives did not disappoint!
Because we were there in July, the nights were bitterly cold, but we stayed cozy in the tents. This is definitely a trip for those seeking authentic adventure, but not for those who are uncomfortable with idea of sleeping in a tent for 10 days. Our Guide Pappy was, always so patient and so thorough with all of us and was a wealth of knowledge about the region. I love this trip, but it definitely is not for those unused to roughing it or are expecting luxury.

My experience was unforgettable and I made memories that I will cherish for a lifetime. To step away from my part of the world and immerse myself in the African bush, cooking dinner, sitting around the fire, camping, sharing stories, and observing the wildlife was recharging, healing, and most of all- transformative. I truly enjoyed my time in Africa and am already looking forward to when I can go back.

There were so many great experiences it is hard to single one out. Seeing herds of Hippos and Elephants on the first day, and the shear number of Elephant herds we saw, to having Elephants wander up to drink out of the pool.

A fantastic adventure that really transformed my previously negative view of group trips! Botswana, in particular, was absolutely stunning and GAdventures built an excellent itinerary to have an unforgettable experience in Southern Africa. The tour guides/CEOs were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and fun – they did a fantastic job with a large group of travellers (many of whom were travelling solo) and really facilitated the creation of lifelong memories and friends. First solo trip for me, but the tour group staff (and guests for that matter) were excellent - the travelling times whilst long, were well worth it - our tour guide Tshepo and driver Cosmas made the trip effortless with good organisation, clear communication and always timely starts/finishes - the information provided at each location, picture opportunities given, fun activities, good food and basically everything else, made this my favourite trip to date - will defo be doing another Africa tour with the tour operator
