Was a great trip Day 3 of actual bike ride, day 4 of trip perhaps not as enjoyable as 5km of loose gravel road and then quite a bit on a reasonably busy road which we weren't use to, but the destination, was worth it.
I had an amazing wonderful experience visiting Bhutan with this company over the past week. From the start to the end of the trip, I was very well taken care of by Tsenrig (owner), Kar Chung (guide) & Leki (driver). My itinerary was adapted to my likings (nature, local cultural experience & food) and Maebar delivered well!
Key highlights of the trip include: leisurely walks across the pine forests at Phobjikha Valley & rustic authentic villages, a challenging hike to Tiger's Nest at 4000m high, a unique local hot stone bath & cuisine dinner in a village home, immersing myself in ancient architectures & monastery way of life at Punakha and Rinpung Dzongs hundreds of years old etc.
All hotel lodgings arranged were very comfortable, clean & spacious. The all inclusive food was a good mix of familiar international cuisine, as well as additional local Bhutanese food.
I leave Bhutan with fond memories and appreciation of its unique & rich heritage. Many thanks to Tsenrig, Kar Chung and Leki for a wonderful trip!
This tour provider hits it out of the park on the big wins: safety, logistics, and expertise. Their guides conducted twice daily health checks, measuring blood oxygen to ensure we were acclimating appropriately and they had medication ready to cover any malady. On summit day they carried oxygen as a safety measure that I found necessary after experiencing altitude sickness and the team even provided it to another suffering climber whose guides were not carrying oxygen. Not all guide services have these safety measures!
The logistics flow was impressive from the get-go with airport and hotel shuttles. The camp logistics on-mountain was even more so. We’d depart camp after breakfast, they’d have tea and snacks set up along the trail, and we’d arrive at lunch to find the mess tent already set up with lunch ready, just to find it and our sleeping tents set up again at the end of the hike with tea and popcorn waiting and dinner shortly to follow. The consideration that the Porter team put into our comfort was overwhelming.
The expertise of the team was unquestionable. The company clearly takes hiring very seriously and recruits knowledgeable guides. Professionals across the board whom we greatly trusted.
With the big wins checked off in style, the company goes above and beyond with personal touches that make the trip truly memorable. I think the most memorable for us was the tradition and ceremony that the team brought to the experience - celebratory group singing and dancing especially, even cakes and champagne! Then small things like hot water bottles to keep sleeping bags warm really made us feel well cared for.
What an amazing experience. From the start of our tour, all the way to the last minute, every activity was worth every moment and my only wish is that it could have lasted longer. Amazing to see how many animals are still roaming around - what an incredibly time.
Designed to work as a self-contained budget Maldives experience or as a start to an independent stay in the archipelago, this is a perfect tour for those wishing to seek out whale sharks, marine life, and the world-renowned coral reefs of the Maldives.
The best way to experience this natural beauty and to gain an insight into the culture and tradition of Maldivian life is to travel to an inhabited island. This trip is based on the local island of Dhigurah which lies on the southeast side of Ari Atoll. Dhigurah actually means long island and at 3km, it is indeed the longest island in the atoll. It is also one of the most picturesque with a long beach, protected lagoon, and a sandbar at its southern end.
This was an unforgettable gorillas trekking adventure with my dad in Bwindi Impenetrable forest with Christopher who works for this local travel specialist. Nicholas did a terrific job with the booking; permits, transport and accommodations all went smoothly. The tough 4 hours trek up the mountain was rewarded with amazing close sighting of the magnificent apes. Christopher was very helpful and great company during the whole trip from Kigali to Bwindi and back. We are very impressed with the whole experience with this travel expert. They are professionals and really know their stuff.
Top notch service from this company which I chose for our Argentina trip because they're based in Buenos Aires and have a focus on South America.
Clara Gonzalez crafted an experience perfectly in line with our request and did so quickly and accurately. Antonella Pascarelli provided us with the expert support we needed before and during the trip. She informed us of needed documentation, answered detailed questions about hotels and restaurants, handled all hotel stays accurately and made dinner reservations at our choice of restaurants.
Land transfers were crucial to our moving about the country and the app included necessary information about that. The guides (Diana in Buenos Aires; Shoam in El Chalten) were both well informed, efficient and personable. I'm glad Antonella knew which companies with whom to work. When we were in country, I received daily emails from Antonella checking in on how things were going and making sure we were on track with the next phase of the trip. I would like to return to South America and I will most certainly try to work with with them.

Walking the Magna Via Francigena was challenging - many steep hills, mud and rain. They organised everything else so that all we had to do was walk, making the walk much easier. The scenery was stunning.
We enjoyed our week on the Dingle Peninsula hike. Each day provided a different experience. Accommodation while basic was full of character. Some challenging days but a great sense of satisfaction once completed. Loved the views.
The endless plains of East Africa are the setting of the World’s greatest spectacle-the pounding of over 6 million hooves! From the vast Serengeti plains to the Champagne coloured hills of Kenya’s Masai Mara.
Over 1 million wildebeest, 300,000 Thompson gazelles and some 200,000 zebras relentlessly tracked by Africa’s greatest predators, migrate in a clockwise fashion over 1,800 miles each year in search of green pastures (July-October to Kenya & December to March to Tanzania’s Serengeti)
The Maasai Mara is especially famous for its large cat population and also the fact that it plays an integral role in the Wildebeest Migration, a wildlife spectacular like none other on earth.
The scenic and wildlife adventure of this short Maasai Mara Camping Safari ends back in Nairobi on the last day.
