The best part was at Petra: first by night and then "round the back from above".. but other highlights included sleeping under the stars, sunrise and sunset in the desert, just missing a sandstorm and ripping my shorts climbing down a steep rocky cliff. It was a taxing walk but really enjoyable and everyone was very pleasant.

This was a great itinerary, although an extra day in Petra would be helpful especially when you are battling heat. To have time to actually use the pool at the 'village' hotel would be incredible. We came in around 10-11pm and were out by 7 am the next morning. Also, you really need to deal with the 'extra' activities. We came in early to do the Desert Castles add-on and were told we had to wait to talk to our tour director - who we didn't see until 6 pm that evening when it was too late. (when we asked about it before going we were told to talk to our tour director when we got there)

This was a full on bucket list trip for myself and my family and it did not disappoint in any way. We got to see all the incredible sites of Jordan such as Petra and the Dead Sea and then a number of others we had no expectations of, such as Jerash, which we found absolutely fascinating. It was a very busy trip - especially as we went on all the extra excursions that we could and I would highly recommend it. The people were incredibly friendly and our guide and driver were incredible.
