This 10-day tour offers a captivating journey through the heart of Egypt, blending iconic ancient wonders with vibrant cultural experiences. Your adventure begins in Cairo, where you'll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. After settling in, you'll have the freedom to explore the city or simply relax and soak up the atmosphere.
The following day, you'll delve into Egypt's rich history with a visit to the renowned Egyptian Museum, home to an astounding collection of pharaonic treasures, including those from Tutankhamun's tomb. You'll then journey to the Giza Plateau to stand in awe of the majestic pyramids and the enigmatic Sphinx. A traditional Koshary lunch will introduce you to the flavours of Egypt before you embark on an overnight train to Aswan.
In Aswan, you'll immerse yourself in the unique culture of the Nubian people, renowned for their warmth and hospitality. You'll spend a night in a traditional Nubian village, with its colourfully painted houses and lively markets, and enjoy a home-cooked dinner with a local family. You'll also visit the beautiful Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, and embark on a relaxing felucca sailing trip down the Nile.
The journey continues to Luxor, where you'll explore the vast necropolis of the West Bank, including the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. You'll also marvel at the grandeur of Karnak Temple, a sprawling complex dedicated to the Theban Triad.

Enjoy the resort's facilities, soak up the sun on the beach, or take advantage of the excellent diving and snorkelling opportunities. A variety of optional excursions, such as windsurfing, quad biking, and camel rides, are also available.
The tour concludes with a return to Cairo, where you'll have free time to explore the city at your own pace. Wander through the bustling Khan el-Khalili bazaar, visit the historic Citadel, or delve into the fascinating history of Coptic Cairo. What can I say...this tour was amazing. Never thought I'd see the sights I saw on this trip, never thought any of this would be possible in my lifetime. Egypt seemed too far, too exotic, too expensive. As soon as I saw the listing for this tour, it suddenly seemed like it might be possible.
We had reservations about going for sure. We have kids, 10 and 13. There's a war in Israel. It's summer in a very hot part of the world. Do we need Yellow Fever vaccines? Will the food make us sick? Americans kept telling us it would be too dangerous to go.
None of that turned out to be a problem. Egypt was very very safe. There are police and military personnel on the streets and at cultural sites. I saw no crime, no people sleeping on the streets. No people panhandling. Going to ATMs to get cash was very safe and easy. We went everywhere from big tourist sites to small neighborhoods. Food was great and we never got sick. We didn't drink the tap water, but bottled water and soft drinks are everywhere. It was hot, but air conditioning, pools, and headscarves manage this.
I'll say this again, because I have heard a lot about this:
Egypt is safe.
It's kind.
It's welcoming.
People are excited that you're visiting from America.
The food is great, and safe.
The hotels were amazing:
Steigenberger in Giza is clean, beautiful, has a nice restaurant with free breakfast, and has a view of the pyramids, which is pretty wild.
Movenpick in Aswan is spectacular, taking up a large portion of an island in the middle of the Nile, with pools and sustainable farms on-site.
The Jaz cruise up the Nile was really nice, with good food and comfortable quarters.
The Continental hotel in Hurghada was seriously ridiculously lavish, with a private beach on the Red Sea, giant pool, a dozen restaurants, and a shopping corridor.
And the Ramses Hilton in Cairo is clean, elegant, and right in the middle of the action of downtown Cairo.
We saw a million places from ancient Egypt I never thought we'd see. I can't overstate how incredible it is to stand in front of the Sphinx, the pyramids of Giza, Luxor temple, Kom Ombo, and especially the incredible monuments at Abu Simbel...this is an optional extra tour, and a bit expensive, as it's a whole day trip, but my goodness, it's worth the long drive. Incredible.
Overall, this trip had probably the most OMG moments I've had on a trip. And I've been to some pretty spectacular places, including India, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Peru (Machu Picchu), the UK, and more.
Please trust me and take the trip. Ignore the warnings. It's so worth it.
Lots of fun! Very well run. Delicious food. Glad I was in good biking shape, although the e-bike made it easy. Very glad I brought a padded seat cover and my own shampoo/conditioner.

Excellent trip! We covered a lot of ground from Marrakech all the way up north to the Mediterranean coast with stops in between. Enjoyed every minute! B
We had a very happy tour group of 8, ranging from about 63 to 70 years. The trails were challenging and technical and very beautiful. Our guide Albi B. was amazing. Alibi’s command of English was very impressive and he was easily able to communicate with our group. His knowledge of history and local folklore kept us very informed and entertained. The transfer vehicles were always on time. The local food was farm to table- very fresh and healthy. We had 3 vegetarians in our group and they seemed quite satisfied with their meals. The accommodations were quaint and rustic, as expected, and we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. The tour was a unique way to explore the Albanian alps.

Great trip! Well organised, great hotels and evening meals. Bikes were in excellent condition. Communication with company excellent. Only thing we weren’t so keen on was the navigation app so resorted to google maps. Generally really pleased.

We loved our Bike and Sail (which was actually a Bike and Boat since the boat didn't have sails). The boat was extremely comfortable with excellent A/C in the lower level where our room was. The dining room was always too warm because even though it had A/C, the open door and another smaller opening near the bar allowed hot air to enter the room. Would be nice if fans were present in the dining area. But all in all, the trip was a good experience!
This part of Tuscany was a complete surprise and a total delight. Not only did we have the typical walking through rolling pastureland covered with wildflowers, we also had many walks through shady forests decorated with sun streaming through the new green leaves and over a floor of last years copper leaves before we emerged onto high ridges to enjoy stunning views over still snow clad peaks. A total delight.
