This trip was amazing. It was great to see some countries that have been at war (or people just didn't feel safe traveling there), opening up and embracing tourism. Loved Croatia and the Greek experiences. Places like Serbia, Bosnia and Bulgaria were very surprising and interesting. Things were covered as per itinerary and guides were very helpful and knowledgeable. But for 5 day trip to Spain, I feel only Barcelona and Montserrat would be better for a 5 day trip. There was not enough time to see Barcelona. The trip from Madrid to Barcelona was too tiring for a 5 day trip. Hotel Hamilton by Hilton in Barcelona was very nice and spacious room. Room in Hotel Prada in Madrid was too small and congested.

I have just got home from my cycle holiday in the Loire. It exceeded my expectations. The guide Pierre, was very knowledgeable and helpful. The bikes were good. The cycle paths were all excellent, a few quiet roads, I did not feel nervous or over challenged. There was variety and plenty of visits to Chateau’s, vineyards and wine tasting. The picnic lunches were all very French, which is all part of the experience, and Thomas made wonderful choices of where we had them. The level of cycling was accurate. The distances were comfortable. I will certainly be looking for my next trip with Exodus.

As a senior I found the two longer mileage days a bit of a challenge but overall it was a great walking holiday. The hotels and the food were excellent. I especially enjoyed the boat trip, as well as walking the final three days to Santiago, like real pilgrims. The medieval border town of Tui was fascinating. I loved the stone and water route on Day 6. Sadly we had to walk the last 5 miles to Santiago in the rain, which was disappointing. The scenery was varied along the way although I found some sections alongside the road tedious.
