Wander through the enchanting streets of Alberobello on this walking tour devoted to its famed trulli houses—a UNESCO World Heritage site. Your guide leads you from the Aia Piccola district through narrow alleys lined with these iconic limestone dwellings, built entirely without mortar. Along the way, step inside the church of St. Anthony, the only trullo-shaped church in the world, and explore the Sovereign Trullo, which serves as a museum showcasing early 20th-century rural life. The tour also introduces you to local crafts and offers a relaxing shopping break, giving you a taste of authentic southern Italian culture. What sets this tour package apart is its focus on the unique architecture and living traditions of Alberobello, offering a rare opportunity to explore one of Italy’s most distinctive historical towns.
The local support were very organized and communicative. The b&bs were all great. Some routes were a little to busy, but may be no way around it. There were some slightly larger villages that might have been better for our 2 nite stays with more to do after our rides.

We were bike fitted with very comfortable bikes which we enjoyed riding. The GPS was excellent although we did misplace ourselves now and then. The rides went through very beautiful Tuscan country and lovely villages. My favourite was Lucca. Thanks for providing great equipment we enjoyed this week of our holiday in Italy.
We had an amazing trip touring the Algarve region of Portugal. Everything was organised superbly. We have plans to do more in the future and will definitely go with them again.
From Salzburg’s baroque streets to Vienna’s imperial grandeur, the "Salzburg to Vienna Cycle" tour invites active travelers and seniors to pedal through Austria’s most scenic corridors. Over eight moderate-activity days, cycle past sparkling lakes, rolling vineyards, historic towns, and UNESCO-listed valleys. Enjoy plenty of time for exploration—think Mozart’s hometown, the wine-rich Wachau Valley, and Linz’s riverside charm—before arriving in Vienna, the heart of Austria’s musical legacy. The unique selling point? A self-guided bicycle tour package that seamlessly combines physical activity, stunning landscapes, and cultural highlights for an unforgettable Austrian adventure.
Wonderful trip. It was amazing to be able to travel from one hill town to another, each one so different from the others.
Highlights of our trip included an art exhibit in Perugia on how medieval artists perceived nature - absolutely beautiful and we had the place to ourselves, quite a contrast to the crowds at the Uffizi; staying in a 14th century pilgrim guest house in Assisi; walking out to the aqueduct bridge in Spoleto; hearing all the bells in Narni suddenly start ringing when the new Pope was elected and running outside along with everyone else to find out what had happened; and, my husband would say, the wild boar stew he ate that evening at a restaurant in the square.
Logistics were well organized and the routes well planned. It was a challenging route, however, with many steep climbs. We were glad we reserved e-bikes. There were also a number of places with poorly maintained roads, quite a bit of springtime road construction, and some areas where the route took roads with heavy traffic. Italian drivers were quite considerate, though.
We had a great time and were sad to go home. We could have stayed in each town longer, and will hopefully return to Italy soon.

Follow in royal footsteps with "Bavaria: King Ludwig's Way," an eight-day self-guided walking tour beginning in Starnberg and ending at the fairy-tale Neuschwanstein Castle. Designed for experienced travelers and seniors seeking both history and scenic beauty, this moderate-level journey traces the preferred haunts of Bavaria’s enigmatic King Ludwig II.
Stroll past scenic lakes, rolling hills, and charming villages dotted with onion-domed churches. Admire masterpieces of baroque architecture, visit historic monasteries, and reach the summit of Hohenpeissenberg for panoramic Alpine views. The route is gentle, mostly farm tracks and country lanes, with numerous opportunities to pause for refreshments and local treats.
The USP? A unique blend of royal intrigue, architectural splendor, and accessible walking, culminating at the world-famous Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles. Accommodation, transport, meals, and detailed route guidance are provided, making this tour package the ideal way to experience Bavaria’s storybook landscapes and history.
We had a spectacular trip. We did a self-guided trip in Piemonte and Tuscany/Umbria. The hotels were much nicer than we expected. Very comfortable and the owners/proprietors were so helpful. The transfer of luggage each day was seamless!
The routes were generally well marked and the app was very good. We didn't need anything more than the app. Only got lost twice which I'd say is pretty good. The routes were a bit more challenging than we expected. We choose two hikes which were marked as 'Introductory - Moderate' which were tougher than we expected. So just pay attention to this. At home, we would consider ourselves quite capable of moderate+ trails, but the classification in Italy is a bit more demanding.
Glad we wore hiking pants as we went through a lot of grasses so never had a concern about tics. Also were very happy we had hiking sticks with us. Invaluable on many of the trails.
I would definitely recommend them to anyone considering a hiking trip. And absolutely no problem doing the self-guided version.
Thank you!!
