Good introductory cross-section in major cities. Good balance of scheduled vs. free time. Would like a little more emphasis on art--especially Uffizi Gallery and Pisan Camposanto--plus entry into St. Mark's/Doge's Palace and Duomo church (rather than some of the shopping stuff). A little too much commercial, too little history/art. (Some of guides under-informed, including one who said Galileo discovered the "two planets" around Jupiter!).
Pros: The itinerary was executed very well, saw many places in a very short time period. Our 2nd guide, Jose was very knowledgeable about the places we visited.
Cons: This tour was mainly geared towards to Spanish speaking people, the English speaking tourists in the group felt left out. The guides spoke Spanish most of the time, not enough contents in English, especially on the tour from Copenhagen to Stockholm, the Spanish guide, Tony, talked way too much than the English guide Ricardo, and We had trouble to understand his English too. From Stockholm to Norway and back to Copenhagen, we were on a different bus with a different guide, Jose. The speakers on the bus only worked on some seats and the quality was very poor, very difficult to make out what Jose was saying, And Jose was speaking too close to the microphone, which made it worse.

Starting and ending in Athens, you’ll guide yourself through romantic Nafplion, wander the medieval walls of Mystras, and discover the dramatic seaside fortress of Monemvasia. Pause to marvel at the mysterious depths of the Diro cave complex, and soak up the Mediterranean ambiance in charming towns. The journey’s standout feature is the freedom of a self-guided itinerary paired with first-rate accommodations—ideal for mature travelers who value both comfort and independence while uncovering the legendary Peloponnese.
The trip ticked all the boxes as I imagined them, starting with beaches with turquoise transparent waters on the first and last days, from there it was medieval market villages, quiet cycling tracks through vineyards, oaks and almond trees and of course the mountains and their excellent views. Quiet hotels with character, lovely Mediterranean food and above all the charming ways of the locals. I would love to do it again, changing the route to discover even more places.
