Starting from Moshi, your journey includes a detailed trek briefing and equipment check before you set off into Kilimanjaro’s diverse landscapes. Step onto the legendary Marangu Route—famously dubbed the “Coca-Cola” route—for a classic 6-day Kilimanjaro trek. Renowned as the oldest and most established path to Africa’s summit, Marangu’s gradual slopes and hut accommodations make it one of the most accessible options for experienced travelers seeking a less technical climb.
While the route’s ascent and descent follow the same trail, its popularity peaks during the rainy season, when dry huts offer a welcome respite from wet ground. Although scenic variety is more limited compared to other routes, the ease of the path and shared dormitory-style huts are significant draws. For those with limited time, the minimum five-day requirement offers a swift yet rewarding ascent, with the option to add an extra day for better acclimatization.
The route’s unique selling point is its combination of comfort and accessibility, making it a favored choice for climbers who value tradition and convenience on their Kilimanjaro adventure.
