This was my second completely independent trip to China with this tour operator. I worked with Kyle Lee to organize the itineraries and book hotels, guides, internal trains, and more. This year, I chose to visit Chengdu and Chongqing, as well as some areas of interest near these two cities. I was originally supposed to travel with my daughter, but at the last moment, due to a knee issue, she decided not to come (especially since the trip included some hiking and physical effort). So, I embarked on this journey alone.
What can I say? Impeccable organization. Kyle is extremely helpful and exceptional at tailoring itineraries and travel experiences. He is attentive and present, with an incredible ability to craft trips that let you see exactly what you wanted – and even more. The guides were extraordinary. Diana, incredibly friendly and super communicative, managed to show me the most important parts of an immense city like Chongqing in just one day, while still giving me the space to explore certain places on my own when I needed it.
Andy, who assisted me with logistical transfers in Chengdu, accompanied me with charm, elegance, empathy, and a great sense of humor. Even though he was with me for a short time, he left a lasting impression. However, the highest praise goes to Rosa, my main guide in Chengdu, Leshan, and Mount Emei. Calling her a guide feels reductive – she was a friend, a travel companion, and like family. Tireless, incredibly knowledgeable, and always available. Seeing that I was traveling alone, she joined me for dinners and accompanied me well beyond her working hours. We went shopping together, talked with locals (thanks to her interpretation skills), and shared so much culturally, relationally, and personally. She welcomed me into her world, and I welcomed her into mine. I don’t think I’ve ever traveled with a guide so prepared, kind, and open, who introduced me not only to her country but also to such meaningful human connections.
If I could give 10 stars to this company, to Kyle, and to the amazing people I met, I absolutely would. Since I can only give 5 stars, I’ll do that instead – but I’m already thinking about traveling with them again next year!

I recently had the pleasure of touring Beijing with an amazing guide Steven and driver, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From the moment we were picked up, everything was well-organized, smooth, and enjoyable. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. We had a smooth and wonderful trip to China. Although we only had 8 days, our travel planner, Jovi, expertly arranged our schedule so we could visit our favorite destinations in Zhangjiajie and Jiuzhai Valley. I like free and easy trips. But for some local detailed arrangements related to itinerary/activities in various countries, it can be rather challenging. My trip to Yangtze River cruise and travel between Chongqing and Yichang involved details that I am not familiar. We, a family of three from New Zealand, enjoyed a trip to China in October this year. We have been preparing for this trip for 2 years. Before finding this tour operator, we also inquired with some local travel companies in New Zealand and China. After comparing, we found that the itineraries offered by New Zealand companies were relatively limited, and they required a minimum of 16 people to form a group. Therefore, we ultimately chose the 13-day group tour package with this operator. In our group, there are a total of three families, consisting of 6 people. The other members are from Germany and the United States. It was an amazing trip. Totally worth it.

The trip was great, everything was very smooth, and well taken care of. I must also really thank you for helping with the train tickets last minute, you were a great help! I was quite worried haha.
The guide you provided, Lhakdon, was excellent. She is a very warm person, and genuinely helpful. For example, my father broke his spectacles accidentally one night, and I messaged her at 9pm asking if she had super-glue or knew a place to buy new spectacles. The next morning she turned up at 9 am with a tube of super glue, and we were able to fix the spectacles! She really went above and beyond to help us.
She always made sure we were comfortable and taken care of, at restaurants she would stop eating and come over to help us order food, get utensils, get drinks etc. service standard is very high.
Lhakdon also helped us outside of the tour time, brought us to various shops, to look for specific items we wanted. These shops were also cheaper and better in quality than the usual tourist traps. Places where locals would buy from.
The driver Pen Pal was also good, a friendly guy. Though he didn't speak English, we could converse in Mandarin. His driving was very safe, smooth ride all the way. No speeding, no sudden acceleration/braking/swerving. Great driver!
Please express the thanks and appreciation from my Dad and I to Lhakdon and the driver. If my friends or I ever go to Tibet again we will definitely request for them again!

SEMI INDEPENDENT: See the best of Eastern China on this 10-day group tour. Admire the Great Wall at sunrise and walk along a less-visited section of this legendary wonder. Pickup time from your hotel is at around 9:00am. Drive about 2.5 hours to arrive at the ticket office of Longji Rice Terraces Scenic Area. Continue to the middle of the mountain, where the entrance of the Ping’an Minority village is located, take a trolley car to the top viewing platform of the Longji Rice Terraces famous as “Nine Dragons and Five Tigers”. Then walk along the rice terraces to another sightseeing named “Seven Stars Accompany Moon”.
Continue to walking down into the minority village and lunch rest.
Walk back to our car, drive back to Guilin, enroute, visit another Minority Village famous as “Long hair Yao Village”. Drive back to hotel in Guilin at about 18:00.
Before back to hotel, you are suggested to visit the Reed Flute Cave(1hr) with numerous stalactites and stalagmites in unique shapes and lightened up by artificial colorful light inside.
You are suggested to experience the Night Cruise in Four Lakes around the Guilin City in the evening, which lasts for 1hr and offers the unique night city and lakes‘ view lightened by the colorful lights behind trees, bridges, buildings. You could also have chance to see the fishermen fishing with their cormorants in the third lake-Osmanthus Lake.
