This was my first G adventure tour.. I was very impressed by the tour leader, the variety of experiences offered, and the camaraderie among our group who were strangers at the start. Beautiful weather and scenery in a part of Europe that gets easily overlooked. Lots of uphill cycling but you do get the long downhills as compensation. The guides Dhimitri and Juli were great - always helpful and Juli (also the driver) scuttling back and forth to ensure everyone was OK and had enough water. Would recommend this trip and the local provider Cycle Albania.

I compared multiple small group tours and, for the equivalent price, Explore is much better value. The hotels are better, the entry fees (which can really add up!) are all included, private comfortable minibus (no public transport) the entire trip, free airport shuttle if arriving or departing on the day the tour starts/ends. As advertised, the itinerary was jam packed and rated "full on" : that suited me, as I wanted to see as much as possible in a short amount of time. It is recommended that you book a few days on your own in Istanbul, as there's a lot to see. The hotels were comfortable and centrally located with a couple of fancy ones included. Breakfast was substantial in all hotels.. enough to keep you fueled for most of the day. My only minor complaint is the guide often suggested expensive tourist restaurants. I found cheaper, tastier and more authentic eateries on my own by doing prior research. One thing I really did like about this tour is that there were no forced shopping stops which are so prevalent with other tour companies. I would definitely consider Explore! Worldwide in the future!
