This trek takes you across three very high mountain passes: Kangma La (elev. 5500 m), Cho-La (elev. 5320 m) and Reno-La (elev. 5400 m). In addition, there is an opportunity to climb to the top of Mt. Kalapathar (elev. 5555 m). Much of this trek is in the wildest parts of the Himalayas where it is said the mysterious yeti resides. While you probably won’t see a yeti, you will see hardly any tourists either on this incredible journey. The Mt. Everest Base Camp - 3 Passes Adventure Trek also includes some of the more popular places, including Everest Base Camp. There are spectacular monasteries, including the one at Tengboche, which features Mt. Everest as its backdrop. Enjoy the local hospitality at the administrative centre of Namche Bazar. We had awesome trek to see Gurung community with the help of Sujan and the local operator. We managed historic hill trek to Siklis still retains an aura of old times. Historically, Siklis is renowned as one of the major origin places of Gurung Community. Here, we find the various ritual practices of Gurungs especially the works of Jhankri (shaman) and Lama (priest), who have important roles in marriage, death and day-to-day lives. Traditional technologies like alcohol fermentation, weaving clothes and sacks from the wild nettle, weaving various bamboo products, traditional water mills and stone grinders, wooden threshers etc are also the important features of Siklis. In this region we spot Nepals birds of prey including the 9ft wingspan Lammergeyer.
