I recently completed a holiday trek with World Expeditions to Tyangboche Monastery in the stunning Khumbu Valley of Nepal, and I can confidently say it was a five-star experience from start to finish.
The organisation was flawless—every detail was thoughtfully planned and executed, making the journey smooth and stress-free. The staff were simply brilliant: knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the region and our experience. From guides to porters, everyone went above and beyond.
The facilities throughout the trek were first class, offering comfort and cleanliness even in the most remote locations. The food was outstanding—nutritious, delicious, and varied, keeping us energised and satisfied every day.
What truly made the trip special were my fellow trekkers. The camaraderie, shared stories, and mutual encouragement created a warm and inspiring atmosphere that I’ll never forget.
If you're considering a trek in Nepal, I wholeheartedly recommend World Expeditions. This journey to Tyangboche Monastery was not just a holiday—it was a life-enriching adventure.

On the whole a great itinerary. I would drop the Sunderbans though, since the chance of seeing any wildlife while sailing for hours up and down the middle of the river is unlikely, especially since the animals are behind a fence. We had an excellent tour leader, Kiran who is warm, very informed and energetic and who certainly went that extra mile in solving problems and caring for everyone. The local guides who travelled with us were also great, as were the drivers. The hotels in India were the Summit hotels, an Indian chain. They are clean and quite well organised. However since those in Sikkim were out of town we were forced to eat dinner in the hotels which produced the identical menu. It would have been better to have spent the bits of free time we had in Sikkim in the towns themselves.

I recently completed the Island Peak climbing expedition and it was nothing short of incredible! From the start to the summit, everything was well-organized, safe, and filled with unforgettable moments.
Dendi, my guide, was an absolute star. His professionalism and experience were evident from day one. Not only did he guide me through the trek and the climb with expertise, but he also shared so much knowledge about the culture, the landscapes, and climbing techniques. His calm demeanor and encouragement, especially during the more challenging sections, gave me the confidence I needed to push through. Whether it was pacing ourselves on the way up, helping with gear, or ensuring we stayed safe on the glacier, Dendi was exceptional.
Prakash, the manager and owner of this tour company, was also fantastic. From my first inquiry, he made the whole process so smooth. His communication was clear, and he made sure all my questions were answered promptly. I felt like I was in great hands from the get-go. The logistics of the trip, including permits, transportation, and accommodations, were all taken care of seamlessly. Prakash checked in regularly, which made me feel valued and well-supported throughout the experience.
The Island Peak itself was a thrilling adventure. The beauty of the Khumbu region combined with the excitement of scaling a 6,000-meter peak made it one of the most memorable experiences of my life. The views from the summit were simply breathtaking – standing there with the mighty Everest in the backdrop was beyond words.

I want to thank Jojo for organizing the Tibet tour for me. If you got Jojo as your travel consultant, you are in good hands! She's attention to details, quick to response and goes out of her way to help address any questions and concerns that you may have. Although I experienced severe high altitude sickness, I managed to enjoy the beautiful scenery that Tibet had to offer. Our tour guide Dawa and our driver Dr. Guo were awesome. They were very patience and understanding. If you have to chose between standard hotels vs comfort hotels, chose comfort hotels. Some of my fellow travelers regretted booking standard hotels. Just beware, they don't have non smoking hotel rooms. The hotel rooms reeked with cigarette smoke, which got me sick at the end. My tour guide tried to get me a non smoking room, but all the rooms are the same. Overall the Tibet trip was a wonderful experience!

An excellent fortnight exploring Vietnam by foot and bike.
The cycling was relatively easy and relaxed (even the chaotic bits in the cities) and Binh our guide was very safety aware and led our routes well taking time to stop and explain the views and attractions along the way.
The hotels were mostly good (one was a bit lower standard but even that was fine) and the food available varied and tasty.
The itinerary was varied and covered all the key features and was flexible enough to accommodate the wishes of the group.
The included food lunches or dinners were all excellent.
We did the optional extras and the cookery class in Han Oi was superb.
We had 2 weeks of splendid weather - one day of rain which meant that the itinerary that day was changed to a walk from a ride - we would have preferred to have cycled but safety awareness prevented this.
Some small tweaks to the itinerary could improve things for us but overall the itinerary was both well planned and varied.
We were a small group and we had an excellent time with our fellow travellers and Binh.
