We have booked them last summer and have a great trip from Marrakech to Merzouga desert. The guide was informative, friendly and so funny. The desert camp.was excellent and more than our expectations. I highly recommend them
This was my first time in in Egypt, it was an unforgettable experience! After seeing the Great Pyramids in Giza I took an overnight train to Luxor and spent several days exploring everything Luxor has to offer. I found the Valley of the Kings on the West Bank to be particularly fascinating (So much Ancient Egyptian history in a relatively small area!). I then spent three nights on a Nile cruise towards Aswan. The weather was perfect and we stopped at two Ancient Egyptian temples, Edfu and Kom Ombo. My tour guide was a certified Egyptogolist named Ahmed Haggag Ali. He really seemed to enjoy being a tour guide and his English was perfect. He explained the temples to me and was able to answer all of my questions. Kom Ombo was particularly fascinating to me because it was an ancient hospital. After arriving in Aswan, Ahmed was also my tour guide for visiting Abu Simbel (Another must see part of Egypt!). I highly recomend visiting Egypt and having Ahmed as a guide, you will not be disappointed.
Ghana, Togo, and Benin may be compact on the map, but this 16-day tour package delivers outsized adventure and cultural depth for seasoned explorers. Starting in Accra and winding to Cotonou, you’ll traverse vibrant cities and tranquil villages across West Africa, balancing history, nature, and hands-on experiences. Stand on the powerful grounds of Cape Coast Castle, a pivotal site in the transatlantic slave trade, and deepen your understanding of Ghana’s poignant past. Get creative in a Batik-making workshop led by local women, then venture through the lush canopy walkways of Kakum National Park. Savor coastal panoramas, and engage in genuine exchanges with farmers in remote Ankasa Village, offering a window into daily rural life.
Crossing into Togo and Benin, the journey transforms into an immersion into local markets abuzz with color and life. Meet welcoming communities, and experience the roots of Voodoo culture in Ouidah — a spiritual and cultural highlight. For travelers comfortable with moderate physical activity, this tour blends meaningful engagement and discovery with manageable exertion, such as forest treks and village walks. The unique selling point: rare access to authentic West African traditions through local-led workshops, community visits, and immersive history, all within a small group setting for deeper connection. This trip is designed for experienced travelers eager for a truly enriching blend of culture, history, and adventure across three fascinating countries.

I went on safari in Africa for the first time in my life, and I feel like-why didn't I come here sooner! During the first few days of the game drive, our guide showed us animals that we didn't even know we were looking for. Lions, cheetahs, and rhinos - I have seen them all, and every time the guide has made the place more alive with funny stories. When I arrived in Zanzibar, I felt like I was in a different world - white sand beaches, clear blue water, and sunsets. The service of Northern Masailand Safaris is so smooth and professional that the entire trip was stress-free.

I have spent the last 3 days visiting Abydos & Dendara (1 day) and Luxor (2 days) with my guide Ahmed Haggag Ali.
First of all, I would highly recommend Abydos to anyone (even if it is way out of any route, +3h by car from Luxor). Abydos is truly a special place, thanks to its colorful paintings and design. And Ahmed provided me with all the history and explanations related to this temple. He knows eveything!! He has been able to answer all of my questions so far (and believe me, I have had a lot!) We later had a delicious 'fuul' in a local restaurant (see pic).
Luxor is, of course, a must see if you plan to visit Egypt. I spent one day in the east bank and another in the west bank. The Karnak and Luxor temples on the East bank are fascinating, and the Valley of the Kings in the West bank has beautiful tombs. Of the 3 tombs I visited, Ramses III was my favourite, extremely colorful. If you have the budget, I also recommend the hot air balloon trip, which is just breathtaking.
I will spend 3 more days with my guide Ahmed Haggag Ali to visit Edfu & Kom Ombo, Aswan and Abu Simbel, and I am very much looking forward to it!
We had 2 fantastic game drives with our guide. He was very caring and a perfect guide. He knows the national parks (Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro) inside out. Booking with the tour operator was easy, he was very responsive and helpful. All worked out as planned and we had a lot of very cool sightings. Clear recommendation from us.

I was part of a group of 3 hikers wishing to climb Kilimanjaro via the Machame route in 7 days. The experience was great and landscapes so amazing. In fact it was the second time I climbed Kilimanjaro. I wanted to renew this experience because the first time the weather conditions was very cloudy the three first days and also I was not completely satisfied of the company I chose at that time.
As such, I selected Maasai Wanderings for the good reviews I had and also because it is part of the Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project (you can have more details here: http://www.mountainexplorers.org/) that was a concern for me after my first experience. And what I can say is that I have not been disappointed, everything was perfect from the beginning to the end.
We were guided by Julius and his team that I recommend. He is a very nice guy, likable, always calm, encouraging you and giving all information required when you need it. He is adapting to you, and most of the time the first days, slowing you down to maximize a progressive acclimatization. I was interested by flowers and history of Kilimanjaro (snow cover, geology) and this guy is a big library.
Food was very good, varied and always in good quantity. It is surprising to see what the cooker is able to do in such conditions. There was a big mess tent where all meals were taken when it was not possible outside. The cooker is cooking just in front of you. The tent had also two extension rooms on each sides dedicated for staff (relaxing/sleeping). It was funny to see that despite of the altitude, the coldness etc. they were always happy, smiling, talking all time etc.
Everybody was dressed properly and adapted to the mountain conditions, even for the shoes. This is important to note because I have been very sad when I saw few other porters from other companies dressed just with a tee-shirt with holes everywhere or not descent shoes. When we reached the last camp (Barafu Hut) at around 13:00, one of the porter was sick and Julius, the guide, decided to escort him down to the gate quickly. He was back to Barafu Camp few hours before we left the camp to climb the final step and came with us! Everybody in the team successfully reached the top Uhuru Peak and of course everybody was very happy. Once again it has been an excellent trip and experience. I keep a lot of good memories.
For these reasons I recommend clearly Maasi Wanderings, for the quality of the guiding, the food, the tents, the team, all the equipments provided (and in good shape).
