We had a good time.If you are elderly,take some hyper comfortable shoes for a lot of walking.Good mobility is important.The tour is fast -paced,but there are breaks and some things-optional trips- you may want to skip.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience on our recent Expat explore tour "Europe Escape", from 01 - 12 Dec 2024. The tour started and ended in Rome, we were given a good appreciation of both the City and quaint little town along the route which took us to Venice, Tuscany, Florence, Múnich, Rhine Valley, Ámsterdam, Ghent, Paris, Burgandy, Beaune, Montmatre, Lake Como, Rome, the Swiss Alps!!
Oh wow! This was such an amazing trip! Our guide, Roma was so knowledgeable and made it even more exciting with her bubbly personality, and our bus driver, Ishti made us feel so safe on the roads...they were truly awesome! I know that keeping a large group together is no easy feat, but they made us feel like family. They shared very helpful tips about the local places, information that you would not normally know as a tourist. Oh! and we were given these cute little passports and stamps to mark the places as we visited them through the tour...this was a really great idea!

This was a fast paced, action packed tour led by an experienced crew who went above and beyond to ensure our holiday was the best it could possibly be. Hats off to Darius our tour leader, and Florentin our amazing bus driver. With the two of them at the helm, I felt not only very safe and secure, but also in the hands of professionals. This tour covers a lot of ground so expect some driving days but you also have stops where you stay for 2 to 3 nights, so have time to soak up the atmosphere. In general, hotels are out of the cities and towns, but you always have the ability to use public transport to get around. Expect lots of good food too. There are many group dinners, and amazing buffet breakfasts every morning with great food choices for all tastes. As a solo traveler, I opted for nearly all the optional tours, of which there are many. I was not disappointed, and found them all great value for money. We were anxious at first to travel for 18 days with a group. But the tour was planned so well and Michelle was so professional. She always have a heads up on what to expect, So kids were also prepared their minds for what to expect. The itinerary covered lot of ground but we didn't feel it to be very fast paced too. There was one under par hotel ( the one in Toulous) which we didn't like. The rest of hotels n breakfasts were great. Thank you!
We just got back from the Best of Europe (22 day tour) and it was an amazing experience, but group travel is not for everyone. If you want to meet new people to explore Europe with & can handle being on a schedule - then group travel is for you. If you want to isolate yourself, have trouble with compromise, and are looking to complain about your fellow travelers and the tour guide - then group travel is not for you.
Emma (tour guide) was amazing and reminded professional throughout the tour. She was always willing to answer questions and give a quick history & language lesson about the different cities in Europe. She made the entire trip enjoyable and manageable as she is an excellent communicator.
As for the tour itself, there are a lot of cities and, at times, it's hard to keep them straight - but that's not necessarily a bad thing. This tour gives you a good sense of what Europe is like and where one may want to visit again. The local tour guides were very good for the most part

We went as a couple, and this was our first trip with Expat. Pleasantly surprised with the organisation of the entire trip, and the comfort of the coach. Our tour leader Steve did amazing work, such a great storyteller,our driver Alex made sure we had a smooth ride and an undisturbed sleep :D.
I love the way we're given options on additional side-tours based on physical capability. Challenges made us more cohesive and in turn made us developed new relationships as one-tight-knit group as we watched each others' back even when we are having fun.
Thanks to our fierce leader Antonio for giving us heads-up anywhere we embark in our journey, as we sometimes forget we act like children in a huge playground on different soil.
To our expert Josh who made us safe and secure everytime we're on the road. The right combination between Antonio & Josh that made me feel secure we can have fun and have the security at the same time.
