October is hot so be prepared for that. It also means there are a lot of animals early mornings and evenings and it was wonderful to watch a family of elephants with their babies rolling around in the mud and a family of lions with 2 cubs annoying their big sister. The food was great. In the basic camp it was cooked on a log fire with lots of fruit and veg. Our guide Sam was superb finding animals identifying birds and great fun. There are long journeys on roads which are not great. Tiring

Excellent safaris, many close up encounters with game. Great camps and accommodation. Well prepared food in the wild by great cooks, and camps superbly set up. One or two encounters with elephants and hippopotamus slightly worrying. Our driver, guide was great, though the length of hours he had to drive were too long on some occasions, though he never complained. He was extremely knowledgeable about the game and the policy of the game reserves. Excellent holiday but you do need to be able to rough it.

Amazing Adventure

This trip exceeded our expectations in almost every way. The proximity to the wildlife was extraordinary, the range of wildlife was exceptional and the entire experience is unforgettable. The trip was enhanced by the outstanding nature of our group leader, Brian, and the support team, Brighton, Timoth and Moeti. The food was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for the team. The trip is tough, early starts, lots of dust and bumpy roads but the rewards make all of this worthwhile and part of the experience.

I loved my trip and had the adventure of a lifetime! *personal info removed by Feefo* , our guide, was fantastic, friendly, fun, and very knowledgeable. We felt very well looked after. The locations and activities were incredible. I did almost everything, so I was exhausted, but it was all worth it for the experience. I had an amazing time.

Many good things about this trip. We saw lots of animals - lions, leopards, hippos, rhinos, crocs, monkeys, giraffes, elephants etc. Birding was also very good, with eagles and kingfishers as well as vultures and many other very colourful species. One of the early starts seemed a bit pointless when we arrived at 5pm at the next accommodation- breakfast is better when eaten at a table and not packed. The bus and driver were excellent, plenty of space for the long drives. The chaos at OR Tambo JNB airport meant a late start on the first day, it took an hour for immigration control. Ideally fly in the day before (or earlier) and take some local tours beforehand. If you arrive at the last lodge before it closes at 5pm, take a look at the nearby gorge, well worth doing. Buy milk at the Spar stops on the journey, the powdered stuff does not work in tea. The afternoon game drives tended to be „get them back to the bus on time“, so sightings were fewer then. Do not expect luxury from the lodges, the locations make up for it. The best guide was on the hippo cruise and night safari optionals, he really knew, and could explain, a lot about the animals and birds we saw. We came away with happy memories and a stack of photos.

This was a fantastic tour encompassing lots of incredible landscapes, national parks, and wildlife. Although we were on the move a lot the holiday was incredibly relaxing and we learnt so much about the history, culture, and flora & fauna of the areas. We were lucky enough to see all of the big 5 across the holiday, with our time in St Lucia being a highlight. Our tour guide Werner was brilliant - he was incredibly knowledgeable, insightful, and made the whole trip very smooth and enjoyable.
