Overall, this was a good package for first time visit at Costa Rica. The travel team (Jean Carlo) was super responsive by answering all our questions and providing fixes with our issues, particularly when it comes to the hotel issue we encountered on our first night at KC Hotel where the shower didn't work. I think the highlight was definitely the White Water Rafting experience with our guide, Roberto who made it extremely fun. Agree with previous folks' assessment on the hotel at Arenal, that was really great and we would go back in a heartbeat. We were definitely surprised that Monteverde lodge did not have AC, although it was relatively cool when we were there so we really didn't need it. All said and done, we had a great time with the excursions, especially the horseback riding at Exuus Farm, and the ziplining activity with 100% Adventure which well made up for some of the accommodation/transport issues. All the excursions were definitely 4 stars in our book.

Overall the trip was great. The excursions and tour guides we had were all excellent. The hotel in Arenal was nice but the hotel in Monteverde did not have air conditioning in the room or a pool. There was some confusion around a couple of the bus transfers. The night we arrived we were told in our communication to look for a driver holding up our name. There was nobody. We contacted GWT on the 24 hour WhatsApp number and after about half an hour were told that we should get a cab and they will look into it on Monday. Eventually we were told that it was a typo in the communication because the actual itinerary did not have a transfer from the airport included. The transfer back to San Jose at the end of the trip turned a 3 hour drive into a long 6 hour one. First we had to switch buses and drivers half way through resulting in over an hour wait at a rest stop. When we got to San Jose the driver brought us to the wrong hotel, due to a system error on their end. I tried texting the WhatsApp line during that time and still haven’t received a response 5 days later. Not a great way to end the trip.

This was a great trip. The tours were excellent. The guides were knowledgeable. The hotels were great!

Trip was well organized. All pick-ups were punctual. Had a great time. Programm could have been more intense. There were some longer breaks which could have been used for additional tours.

I booked this trip for my daughter and me. She wanted action and adventure, every day, and this trip delivered. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotels. Much nicer than I expected, given the low cost of this to her. Most of the transportation was fairly high-quality as well. The bus too, and from the rafting was nothing fancy, but certainly nothing to worry about. Be prepared to spend a little more time than you might expect in transit. That's a function of Costa Rican infrastructure. Lots of one lane roads means travel between cities can be really slow. But the scenery is gorgeous. If you just consider it part of the adventure, and enjoy it, it's not a problem. I highly recommend this trip. It had everything we wanted.

Our trip was absolutely incredible! The hanging bridges tour in Cloud Forest was beautiful and informative and the zip lining canopy tour afterwards was exhilarating. Everyone was helpful and friendly. Our accomodations were wonderful as well. I immensely enjoyed our stay at the Monteverde Villa Lodge and the Pueblo Dorado hotel was very clean and comfortable! Our drive to Tamarindo went very smoothly. All of our drivers during the trip were fantastic. We went on a guided trail ride at Tamarindo as well and our guide Christian was really wonderful! He got amazing pictures of all of us and was very knowledgeable about the area. Our sunset boat tour was the perfect final touch of the trip and the food on the boat was delicious. Overall this trip was exactly what I needed to slow down and relax and remember how wonderful it is to be here!

With any trip the quality of your guides makes all the difference. The included excursions were with inexperienced or not interested guides. When we booked our own excursions we saw & learnt a lot more. 6pm night before & no itinerary or pick-up confirmation. Had to ring & ask for it.

Best bang for your buck! It was amazing and everything was planned out perfectly. The hotels, the transfers and excursions were amazing and unforgettable!

We had a great time and liked every place and activity that was part of the trip. The transfers were well coordinated and always on time. Most hotel accommodations were good and location was central to other activities. We were able to customize the itinerary to include Caribbean coast which was also really nice!

If your into adventure, this is for you. Very well organized and very well run, everything is done for you. All you have to do is have a great time!
