Fantastic tour leader in Patrizia. She really made this experience great. Improvement could be made in these areas: 1. Hotel in Madrid was basic. Rooms small and overpriced for extra nights. We stayed extra nights at another hotel, much better in every way and 20% cheaper, 2. Bus too small for tall people, we both found it very uncomfortable 3. Didn’t like the last two towns in Portugal nothing to do, no great choice for eating. Would prefer to skip those

Great variety of views, rugged landscapes and scenic coast lines. Good accomodation, comfortable coach and excellent guide..

This is the second Back Roads tour I have experienced. They are well organized well thought out with the planning. A pleasant way to see sections of U.K. Would recommend to friends.

great tour guide "G". very knowledgable on Scotland.Very helpful and accomadating to all on tour. Hotels we stayed at were good,especially on the isle of Mull.food included all good. gave it a 4 as I felt there was a bit too much time on bus.would have liked a few different type of experiences. That being said, "G" arranged some wonderful experiences and stops not included on The Blue Roads designated itinerary.It was nice to see the variety of landscapes in Scotland so maybe the extra bus time cannot be minimized.would recommend this trip,just be aware that you will have some days of many hrs on the bus.Bus comfortable and bus driver very knowledgable as well.Particularly enjoyed the farmer/historian/fiddle player "G" arranged to talk with us and the bagpiper welcoming us into a meal one night.Driving thru the Highlands was beautiful as well as Cairngorms national park.This was our second trip with Blue Roads and will likely do another at some point.

Our tour guide, Fabio, was excellent, knowledgeable and attentive. Searching myself online for a tour of Tuscany, I saw this tour offered by a company called GoWay. I was very dissatisfied with the agent with GoWay and did not always get correct information from the agent. When my husband and I met the group at the Roma Hotel, Fabio approached us (we had not yet met) and asked us if we were with the Back Roads Tour. Our response was NO. Thankfully Fabio found us on his list. Fabio was wonderful.

The tour was great and Annalise our guide was the best. She was so friendly, efficient and professional giving her best in every way.

The tour was amazing! Sarah our tour guide was fantastic she was informative, friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Backroads. We would never travel with any other Tour Company but Backroads!

The tour was excellent. Great accommodation, in fantastic locations. Bus had large windows and ample room. Our tour leader Patrizia was Amazing, kind and very knowledgeable. She went the extra mile every day.

Such a fantastic guide and driver. Saw so many interesting things as we negotiated those amazing winding roads. Such a fun trip! Highly recommend it. Backroads deliver such a well balanced experience.

A wonderful small-group tour visiting many of the most important cities across southern Spain along with some of Portugal. Featuring knowledgeable and passionate tour leaders along with comfortable smaller coaches, Backroads add in a lot of extras including out-of-the-way places, interesting boutique hotels and unique experiences. These tours attract a more discerning group of passengers too so your travelling companions add value to your trip.

It was a very well organised trip. Hotels were excellent and meals very good. Paola who was our Tour Director did an excellent job. She was very informative and every night gave us a detailed account of the itinerary and weather details for the following day. It was only a small group and we all got along really well. All in all it was a fabulous trip.
