Our guide/driver (Thalik) was fantastic as he safely navigated the busy road of Sri Lanka and simultaneously told us of the history, geography, religion and politics of this beautiful country. He took us to all the sites listed on our itinerary and more
The tour was fantastic although we would have preferred to add two nights at Yalta and reduce the beach nights at Earls Reef Hotel. Also although we did a day trip to Colombo from Bentoto, the traffic held us up and limited our time in Colombo. If we had finished our tour with one night in Colombo we could have seen more
My husband and I have nothing but good things to say about this tour. From the moment we were picked up at the airport to our last hotel check-in, everything ran smoothly and efficiently. The hotels were lovely, the food delicious, and the excursions taught us so much about the history and culture of this beautiful country. We made memories we will cherish. It was so nice to not have to worry about connections, or what to do next as everything was looked after. A fact we greatly appreciated as it is our first trip to Sri Lanka. I highly recommend this tour.
We booked and paid for this tour pre-Covid in late 2019. Australia closed its borders one week before we were due to commence our best of Sri Lanka holiday in March 2020. Bookmundi and HOT tourism assured me that we could postpone our tour until it was safe to travel and we were ready to go. They placed no time limit on how long it would take. True to their word we rebooked and and commenced our tour in late June this year. We’ve (Myself, wife and daughter) had absolutely no regrets. The best of Sri Lanka tour took us to some wonderful cultural and historical sites. Not to mention the natural beauty that Sri Lanka has to offer. If you are considering taking this tour I advise you not to hesitate. It is great value for money and a lot of fun and very relaxing. Sri Lanka is a wonderful place to visit and I hope to come back again someday soon.
From start to finish this was a great tour. We got a real feel for the culture, history and the people of Sri Lanka. We experienced jungle, beach, fish market, farmers' market, village life, historical sites and throughout had magnificent views of this beautiful country. Hotels were clean and comfortable and buffet food gave us plenty of choice. This is a 'must do' tour!
