City and Wine is a family venture based in the beautiful Etyek village. Etyek is an old little town of 4000 inhabitants and the center of the Etyek wine region, located only 25 kilometers from Budapest (cca 30 minutes drive).
As we live here, we love our home, and we have a special passion towards wine, the local wine makers, their stories and their products. We have decided to show this great experience to others, in the frame of short day tour programs. Our programs offer 4 or 5 hour adventure with which includes a cosy walk amongst the vineyards with a friendly guide, wine tasting at the traditional wine cellars and personal meeting with the local winemakers. In the small group one can make new friends and discover the unique atmosphere of the Hungarian countryside.

Guided by a friendly guide you will visit two or three small wineries, at each of which you are greeted and hosted by the winemakers and you are able to taste multiple wines with first-hand detailed explanations of the wine making process. The pours are more than generous, the guides are very knowledgeable and friendly and the whole experience feels more like hanging out with friends of a friend than a tour. Our wine tasting program is combined with genuine home cooked meal at a traditional winery.
