"There were several hiccups related to our driver’s accommodations and prepaid meals that created stress for the driver and us. Not sure who owned the issue between Bookmundi, Abang, and Tok Toki . Also we had no good contact numbers for Abang Travel for issue resolution during our trip."

"Abang was very accommodating of all our (many) requests. I only have 2 complaints, both minor. I wish I had understood a few things better, such as the fact that we were in danger of losing the lodgings listed because we got too close to the departure date and the facilities filled up. I had supposed that the rooms were held by the agency and could only be released by them. The second thing is the length of time it took to communicate with them and get a response. We live in California, and the agency is in South Africa. Our trip was to Kenya and Tanzania, so between the huge time difference (the agency was closed during the times I sent e-mails and I was asleep when they sent their responses) communications often took 2 or more days back and forth. Further complicating this was the fact that our agent, Retasha, who was wonderful, often couldn't answer our questions without consulting with her counterparts in Kenya and Tanzania. It would have been simpler if we had used an agency in one of those countries. However, once we arrived in Africa, everything went extremely smoothly. Our guides in each country were knowledgeable and anxious to help, and there wasn't a single glitch. Any problems or questions that we had were handled immediately and met with a friendly "hakuna metata", Swahili for "no problem"'."
