This Philippines bike and boat adventure is the quintessential island experience, with endless white-sand beaches and tropical bliss. In 12 days, experience the country's Visayas region, a remarkable island paradise even for a country made up of thousands of them! Cycle through tropical coastal scenery, traverse crystal blue waters by boat, and enjoy the fun and easy going pace of life in the Visayas on this Philippines bike tour.
The journey begins along the west coast of Cebu, getting up close to real rural life in the Visayas and its people, on the way to Moalboal, known for its fantastic diving and marine life. Head south to the second island of the trip, Negros, known for its ancient culture and role in Philippines history. You'll have time to rest on another beautiful beach, and maybe spot some whales or dolphins, before heading to the next island.
The third island of the trip, Siquijor, is known for its jungled interior and local mysticism. Cycle along coastal roads with tranquil tropical views, then head inland in search of more varied terrain and fantastic scenery inside the National Park. Then it's off to Bohol island, home to the world-famous Chocolate hills, along with interesting relics of the country's history as a Spanish colony, and of course, more stunning beaches and local hospitality!
Guide Yo and Driver Rin were an excellent team. Yo's knowledge of the culture and farm practices was particularly interesting. His selection of snacks and dinner items was stellar and he was so careful to address special dietary needs. Yo was so very kind and considerate of all the tour participants and his gentle ways made for a delightful time together. Rin was funny, warm and such an incredible professional addressing road safety issues and acting quickly to address a small accident one of the riders experienced. Yo is one of the best guides we have ever had on a tour.
The trip is clearly for a person that is in excellent shape. While it was a push for one of us, it is an experience I would not have wanted to miss.”
