How did you get into travel
I started a blog when I lived in Malaysia that was syndicated by my local newspaper in the US. Later, as a marketing manager for a travel company I had the opportunity to write lots of content, including for National Geographic Traveller.
Marissa's unique travel experience
I think the most *unique* place I've ever been to is the tiny, remote island of Tanna, in Vanuatu—an island nation in the South Pacific. We stayed at a remote jungle lodge and we hiked to the rim of Mount Yasur—one of the world's most active volcanoes.
