Sri Lanka 8-Day Tours and Trips

This was an excellent short tour but, even though it was only 6 days, it felt as if we packed in at least 12 days-worth of activity. It was a great introduction to Sri Lanka with a fantastic range of visits and activities. Our tour leader, George, was great and highly informative and our bus driver, Tony, was a very good driver and organiser. I think I would like to go back to each place we visited again to spend longer and this really has provided a great taster.

Trip of a lifetime with Kalana. Just home (we were a group of 4 friends, all girls in our mid-20s) from the most amazing 9 day trip organized perfectly by Atkien Spence Travel. Some of the highlights of the trip included amazing views in Sigiriya, a jeep safari (where we saw elephants and leopards) and visiting a turtle hatchery. Sri Lanka is a beautiful country, and the people are so nice, but it was our tour guide, Kalana, who made the trip so memorable! We have made a friend for life and cannot recommend Kalana enough!

A lovely week with good hotels - my first 'adventure' holiday and as a solo traveller. The cycling day is great for viewing the countryside and getting nearer to rural communities, elephants in the wild (and sometimes on the main roads) including a rarer tusker and a baby, temples enriched by insightul explanations of customs from our guide, climbing the Sigiriya rock was strenuous but paced with good railings for support, interesting tea-growing and processing, The Grade 3 white-water rafting is definitely worth doing and not that scary though you need to be mobile to descend the steps to the river. Good food, if spicy, though Sanjeewa was a helpful guide on how spicy! Very straightforward booking, direct communication by phone and email, easy arrangement of pre-tour hotel to fit with my prior commitments in Sri Lanka. Very interesting tour, nicely challenging for my inexperience of such trips, helped by being in a small and friendly group. Our guide, Sanjeewa, was a really great guide - very knowledgeable and professional but always there to support us with a good sense of humour too. Felt very safe throughout and very careful driving from Donald.

Another fantastic G Adventures tour in Sri Lanka. Unforgettable memories made with a local tour guide who was so passionate and knowledgeable. The itinerary was great and included a variety of activities. But I really feel like the tour guides make these experiences. Thank you, Thilantha for an amazing tour!

From the private pick up at the airport in Colombo to drop off at the airport things could not have gone more smoothly. The pace of the tour was excellent given its short duration. Accommodations were very good-clean, comfortable and well located. Sri Lanka is a stunning country with friendly people, beautiful scenery and an abundance of wildlife.

Really excellent trip - we saw and experienced so many things. Only downside is it meant a lot of travelling on the bus and only one night in every hotel. Highlights were the Safari - seeing the elephants especially. Climbing Lions Rock at 6am and the delightful food we had along the way. Our guide, Chamodi was very enthusiastic and friendly. She was especially good with the children.
