Costa Rica Tours in February 2027

Our Exodus Discover Costa Rica trip has been such a memorable tour. So much bird and animal life to see. We deliberately opted for a small group of 16 people so we would not miss a thing. We also chose a wildlife and birdwatching expert Guide. Staying for two nights at each location, in different climates (rain forest, mountainous etc) gave a great insight into this beautiful country of Costa Rica.

What an amazing holiday. Our tour leader Camilo, was superb. Knowledgeable on all the wildlife and Costa Rica, he worked incredibly hard to give the whole group the best time. This was our 20th Explore trip, it was simply the best in every way. Thank you Camilo, and thank you Explore.

I wanted to start by saying thank you so much for such a thorough, comprehensive plan for our stay in your lovely country. From the start of working with you, I felt as though everything was covered. Your itinerary to us was easy to read, easy to share, and filled with enough information to get us excited about the visit. Then, the pacing of the entire trip seemed to be a perfect fit for my family. I already foresee us returning to experience Costa Rica again, based solely on the trip you crafted for us. We are quite grateful.

The itinerary for Monkeys, Jungles, & Volcanoes was wonderful. Travels went at a good pace for most of the group. Accommodations were quite good, even at the more primitive hotel. Hot water for showers and flushing toilets. Stops along the way were very interesting and local business owners very friendly & helpful. Our guide, *Personal details removed by Feefo*, was the best and coach driver, *Personal details removed by Feefo* was also quite professional and efficient at navigating narrow roads. The major destinations (Arenal, Tortuguero, and *Personal details removed by Feefo*) were all quite beautiful with plenty of fascinating wildlife and lovely landscapes.

Excellent knowledgeable leader - we saw so much wildlife of all kinds in all conditions. The hotels were comfortable & the food excellent particularly the fruit at breakfast It was a full on programme & the optional choices were exciting ( rafting) or allowed for more real exploration. I felt that I had really got my money’s worth. Cautionary note & not Explore’s problem- I had a nightmare journey home of delays missed connections in Miami & knock on effects back in the UK. Part of the delay which caused a missed connection was Trump leaving Miami airport causing the entire place to come to a standstill. This is a regular event there now so advise people to travel by other routes if possible!

I would have liked to have actual what clothing to pack 2 weeks prior to travel. Also that I should carry about $150 in ones, fives tens because where we traveled most locals wanted cash. Quick dry clothes is a must in the rainforest. Travelers need to be able to walk on uneven ground for a distance. I enjoyed the entire experience and our guide was very smart and was always looking for was to make it more special.
