This coastal adventure has a bit of everything: wildlife, amazing scenery, and of course, whisky! Experience sea cliffs, stunning beaches, a famous rock formation, and a bustling nature reserve at Troup Head*. If we’re lucky, we may have a special encounter with dolphins, minke whales and the area’s colourful seabirds! Celebrate epic new experiences with our national drink in Scotland’s largest whisky producing region, Speyside. After a packed day of beaches, whisky and wildlife, you’ll be in love with this super special region of Scotland.
We depart Inverness and head straight for a walk on a gorgeous beach, at the historic village of Findhorn. Next up is Bow Fiddle Rock, a dramatic sea arch that sits just off the shore of Postknockie. The village-hopping continues, and we reach Cullen. Here you’ll have plenty time to try the famous soup, Cullen Skink and explore this idyllic Highland fishing village.
The afternoon takes you to the RSPB’s Troup Head Nature Reserve; where you get the chance to see seabirds and, if you’re lucky, you may even spot marine life too*! Next up, we go inland on the Malt Whisky Trail to learn all about whisky at a Speyside whisky distillery, where tasting is the best way to learn!
Rounding out our day is a visit to the small village of Carrbridge, home of the oldest stone bridge in the Highlands. We return to Inverness in time for dinner and perhaps another dram or two.
*Please note: to increase the likelihood of wildlife sightings, we will visit Spey Bay and Aberlour instead of RSPB Troup Head Nature Reserve for the remainder of the 2024 season. Spey Bay offers stunning coastal views and the chance to spot wildlife, while Aberlour is a beautiful town in Speyside, known for its local treats and scenic walks.
