day 2 - Tashkent - Chimgan Mountains - Tashkent

After a hearty breakfast, set out on a scenic drive (approximately 2 to 2.5 hours) into the picturesque mountain region northeast of Tashkent. Your destination is the breathtaking Ugam-Chatkal National Park — a natural gem offering a wide array of outdoor activities from invigorating hikes and thrilling adventure sports to peaceful nature walks and lakeside relaxation. While the mountains may not match the dramatic heights of those near Almaty or Bishkek, the terrain here offers equally exciting challenges and is far more accessible. Visit the modern Amirsoy Resort, nestled in the foothills, known for its year-round alpine activities. Continue to the stunning Charvak Reservoir, a turquoise expanse surrounded by green slopes — perfect for soaking in fresh air and mountain views. day 3 - Tashkent - Samarkand (by Train)

In the morning, collect your breakfast boxes from the hotel and meet your driver at 07:00 for a transfer to Tashkent Train Station. Board the high-speed Afrosiyob train to Samarkand, departing at 08:23 and arriving at 10:36. Upon arrival, meet your local guide and begin your immersive journey through the historic wonders of Samarkand. Your first stop is the magnificent Gur-Emir Mausoleum (14th–15th century), the final resting place of Tamerlane and his descendants. A masterpiece of Central Asian architecture, the mausoleum is renowned for its harmonious proportions and intricate interior, rivaling the greatest works of Islamic art. Continue to the Registan Square, the cultural and architectural heart of Samarkand, flanked by three majestic madrasahs adorned with dazzling tilework. From there, explore the imposing Bibi-Khanim Mosque, once among the largest mosques in the Islamic world, built by Timur to honor his wife. With over 25 intricately decorated structures, this sacred site offers a vivid window into the past and is often referred to as a “creative laboratory” of Islamic ceramic art. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant before getting dropped  to your hotel for a well-deserved rest.

day 4 - Samarkand

Start your day with a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, then meet your guide at the reception and head out to explore the cultural and scientific treasures of Samarkand. Begin with a visit to the Ulugbek Observatory, built in the 1420s by the famed astronomer and ruler Mirzo Ulugbek, grandson of Timur. Once the most advanced observatory in the East, it was here that Ulugbek and his team conducted groundbreaking astronomical research, later compiled into the renowned Zij-i Guragani star catalog. Today, visitors can still see the impressive underground portion of the massive sextant and the foundations of this historic site. Continue to the Mausoleum of Khoja Daniyar, one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites in Samarkand. Revered by Muslims, Christians, and Jews alike, the site is believed by many to be the resting place of the biblical Prophet Daniel. day 5 - Samarkand - Bukhara

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and meet your driver at the reception for your transfer to Samarkand Train Station. Board the high-speed bullet train to Bukhara, a journey that offers comfort and scenic views of Uzbekistan's changing landscapes. Upon arrival in Bukhara, you will be warmly welcomed by your driver and transferred to your hotel. Take some time to relax and enjoy the charm of this historic city at your own pace. Admire the Nodir Divan Begi Madrasah, Kukeldash Madrasah—the largest in Bukhara—and Khanako, once a resting place for Sufi dervishes. Don’t miss the whimsical monument of Khoja Nasreddin, a beloved folk character. Continue to the Magoki-Attari Mosque (9th century), one of the oldest surviving mosques in Central Asia, believed to have been built on a pre-Islamic Zoroastrian temple. day 7 - Bukhara

Begin with the Mausoleum of the Samanids (9th–10th centuries), one of the oldest and most elegant examples of Islamic architecture in Central Asia, built entirely of baked brick with intricate geometric patterns. Continue to the Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum (12th–16th centuries), a site shrouded in legend and revered by locals—home to a sacred spring said to have appeared when the biblical prophet Job struck the ground. Next, visit the Bolo-Hauz Mosque (18th–20th centuries), known for its graceful wooden columns and decorative ceiling, once frequented by the nobility of Bukhara. Just across the square stands the imposing Ark Fortress, an ancient citadel that functioned as a royal residence, housing everything from the emir’s court and treasury to the harem and prison. day 8 - Bukhara - Khiva (by Train)

After breakfast, meet your driver at the hotel reception and begin your journey from Bukhara to Khiva (approx. 450 km / 6–7 hours). Travel along a modern highway that traces the ancient path of the Great Silk Road, crossing the vast expanse of the Kyzylkum Desert. Along the way, enjoy a scenic stop to take in panoramic views of the golden sands and the mighty Amu Darya River, one of Central Asia’s major waterways. Arrive in Khiva by late afternoon and transfer to your hotel for check-in. After a bit of rest, head out to a local restaurant to enjoy a traditional dinner and a first taste of this enchanting city’s hospitality.

day 9 - Khiva - Shavat - Uzbekistan Land Border Crossing - Dashoguz (turkmenistan)

After breakfast, meet your guide at 09:00 to begin exploring Ichan-Kala, the walled inner city of Khiva — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a living open-air museum. Enclosed within its ancient clay walls lies a captivating collection of Islamic architecture, making it one of the best-preserved examples of a historic Central Asian town. Your first stop is the Muhammad Aminkhan Madrasah, the largest in Central Asia. Built between 1851 and 1854, this impressive structure features 125 hujras (student cells) arranged across two floors and once accommodated up to 260 students. Just outside, you’ll see the striking Kalta Minor Minaret, famed for its vivid turquoise tiles and unfinished form. Originally intended to reach 70 meters, the minaret halted at 26 meters following the sudden death of Muhammad Amin Khan, leaving a beautiful yet mysterious landmark. Next, visit the Madrasah of Muhammad Rahim Khan, named after a progressive ruler, poet, and patron of the arts known by the pen name Feruz. His reign marked a cultural revival in Khiva, and his namesake madrasah stands as a symbol of this enlightened era.

Continue on to the Kunya Ark Fortress, once the royal residence and administrative center of the Khivan khans. Within its fortified walls stood the khan’s palace, mosque, court, harem, mint, and stables — all reflecting the grandeur of a bygone era before the Russian conquest. After wrapping up your tour of Ichan-Kala, return to your hotel to check out. Then meet your driver and transfer to the Shavat border crossing (60 km). Complete border formalities as you transition from Uzbekistan into Turkmenistan. day 10 - Dashoguz - Koneurgench - Dashoguz - Ashgabat (by Flight)

After breakfast, meet your guide and depart for Koneurgench, the ancient capital of the Khorezm Empire and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This sacred and historical site is home to a remarkable collection of mausoleums and monuments that reflect centuries of spiritual and architectural legacy. Explore key landmarks including the Mausoleum of Fakhr al-Din Razi, a revered scholar and theologian; the striking Sultan Tekesh Mausoleum, with its distinctive conical dome; and the Turebek Khanum Mausoleum, known for its stunning tilework and elegant design. Begin your journey with a visit to the Parthian Fortress of Nisa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the former capital of the Parthian Empire. Once a flourishing city until the 19th century, excavations have revealed impressive remnants of grand ceremonial halls, royal residences, and a treasury — offering a glimpse into the empire’s architectural and cultural legacy. Next, visit the magnificent Ertugrul Gazi Mosque, a gift from the Republic of Turkey to the people of Turkmenistan. With its soaring minarets and marble façade, this mosque stands as one of the most prominent landmarks in Ashgabat. The complex also includes a madrassah, a cultural center with a library, a 250-seat assembly hall, and a tranquil park.
