Itinerary
Swim with whale sharks and play a role in the conservation of this iconic species on this 8-day Maldives cruise from Male. As well as a once in a lifetime encounter with whale sharks, enjoy a range of swimming and snorkelling experiences, explore the Maldives remote islands and embrace the unique local culture as you sail around the country aboard a traditional wooden gulet.
day 1Male to South Male Atoll
You step off the plane at Male International Airport, where your tour leader is waiting to welcome you aboard MV Felicity — your home on the water for the days ahead. Once you've settled in, the boat sets a course for South Male Atoll and your first Maldivian snorkel. Your tour leader talks you through responsible snorkelling, then acts as your spotter, pointing out marine life you might otherwise swim straight past. Coral reefs are fragile, and small habits make a real difference to protecting them. This evening, a presentation explores reef biodiversity and the threats these ecosystems face from climate change, pollution and human activity — and what we can each do to ease the pressure. Please Note: We strongly recommend you bring your own mask and snorkel on this tour, both for hygiene reasons and to ensure a proper fit. This itinerary applies to departures from 01 November 2026 onwards. If you're travelling before this date, please contact us, as a different itinerary applies.
