Optional: Culinary Exploration of the Capital City by Foot
You will be picked up from the hotel and taken to the Caudan Waterfront where the tour begins this morning. Take a walk-through Port Louis’ cobbled street to explore its heritage and travel back in time. Along the way, you will experience the Mauritian way of living by sampling traditional dishes such as steamed dumplings with succulent broth, rotis, peanuts, and deep-fried chilli cakes! You will also receive a bottle of water to go with your day of eating!

Optional: Mauritian Taste and Flavours of the North
You will be picked up from the hotel and taken to the Goodlands where the tour begins this morning. Here is a chance for you to purchase local and fresh vegetables in the village before making your way to the Grand Gaube. You will be welcomed to Anjoo with appetizers and welcomed directly into a kitchen for a local culinary experience. Take home recipes and typical spices that have been shared with you from the chef. Then you will have a walking tour and be able to interact with the locals, while hopefully being able to see some children at a school before the end of your tour.

Optional: Charms of the North
You will be picked up from the hotel and taken to the Goodlands market, a town influenced my Indo-Mauritian inhabitants and one of the most economically significant towns in the north. See Chateau Labourdonnais, where you can discover the 19th-century colonial lifestyle. Visit the historic marine, where you can see 30,000 wooden models of various vessels. Enjoy lunch at Tante Athaly, one of the best restaurants in town before ending the tour at Pamplemousses Garden, the oldest in the Southern Hemisphere. It is famous for its long pond of giant water lilies and covers an area of 37 hectares.

Optional: Exploration of Poudre D'or Village on Bike
On this morning tour, meet at the monument of Paul and Virginie of Poudre D’or at 8:45 am. Meet your bilingual guide who will introduce you to your bike and give you water and a snack. Take off and discover the rich past of Poudre d’Or with its French and British history. Ride by bicycle and foot along the narrow streets of the village where you can immerse yourselves with the daily lives of the locals. See beautifully kept gardens, bright houses, and warm greetings of the locals.

Optional: Family Day
Enjoy a full-day tour with the family on this child-friendly tour to discover fun facets of the island. Begin the day with a visit to the land of 7 colours and the Chamarel waterfall. Continue to the village and see the Curious Corner, a place full of surprises for children and adults. Then you will head to Casela Park where you will enjoy lunch before spending time at the park and its attractions.

Optional: Kouler Smarel
This full-day tour starts in Curepipe, the second most important town of the island which is well known for its shopping; Cashmere, carpets, jewellery, ready-made garments are available to buy. You will then stop at Trou aux Cerfs, a dormant crater located at 650 metres above sea level which offers a beautiful panoramic view on the Moka range. Following Grand Bassin (the Ganga Talao), a sacred place of worship for the Hindu community, you will head towards Chamarel along the Black River Gorges with magnificent viewpoints followed by Lunch at Le Chamarel and a rum tasting at the Rhumerie. The final stops will be Chamarel waterfalls and the 7 Coloured Earth, before the transfer back to the hotel.

Optional: Horse Riding at la Vieille Cheminee
Make your own way to La Vieille Cheminée, a small agricultural farm surrounded by 2 rivers that border 75 hectares of forests: travellers’ palm, indigenous trees and 50 hectares of diverse plantations: sugar cane, palm heart, pineapples and bananas. The entrance to the estate is overshadowed by an ancient stone chimney – the last remnants of the village’s former sugar mill, dating from 1874. Take a 1 hour guided excursion on horseback; their horses are robust double ponies, originally from South Africa. They are calm, gentle and are ideal for this type of riding.

Optional: Ile Aux Cerfs with all inclusive drinks
Make your own way to Pointe Maurice and enjoy a cruise to Ile aux Cerfs! You will be welcomed with a cocktail, offered a sun mattress for the day, provided a set Mix Grill Lunch and an all-inclusive beverage package at lunch (2 hours). This privately-owned island near the east coast of Mauritius is in the largest lagoon and offers 87 hectares of lush vegetation and well preserved white sandy beaches.

Optional: Lion Mountain Hike
This morning you will be transferred to La Vallee de Ferney and taken on a ride to the starting point of the 8km hike. Your guide will take you on a hike and show you one of the very last nature sanctuaries on the island. Please note that this trail is technical with occasional steep downhill sections.

Optional: Sirokan
Enjoy this full-day tour as it starts with a transfer from your hotel. Get a glimpse in the way of living of the rainbow nation of Mauritius, Port Louis, and the capital with its buzzing business centre, its crowded, colourful local market, its monuments and different places of worship, its modern shopping centre of the Caudan Waterfront. After the busy visit of the city, take a breath of fresh air at the Royal Botanical Garden of Pamplemousses, one of the most famous gardens in the World. Lunch will be included at l’Aventure du Sucre, a fangourin restaurant with unique flavours of the Mauritian culinary heritage.

Today make your own way back to Port Luis International Airport for your flight home.
