day 1 - Arrival in Paro and drive to Thimpu

Upon arrival in Paro, clear customs and immigration. Keep your copy of the visa clearance letter handy. Meet your guide and driver outside the terminal building and transfer to Thimphu.

Visit the Buddha Point, Traditional School of Arts & Crafts and Tashicho Dzong and stroll around the city in the evening.

day 2 - Drive to Punakha

Drive to Punakha to explore the Punakha Dzong, the second oldest in the bhutan built back in 1637. Also explore Chime Lhakhang, another beautiful Buddhist monastery in Punakha.

day 3 - Drive to Paro

Today, you will drive back to Thimphu and walk around the Hontsho village where the Tibetan refugees live. Head back to Paro.

day 4 - Paro Sightseeing and Visit Thaksang Monastery

Hike to the Thaksang (Tiger Nest) monastery (the journey takes approximately 3 hours). After this hike, you may visit Kichu Lhakhang and the farm house.

day 5 - Drive to airport and departure

Early morning drive to airport and fly back home.
