One summer evening, while on a previous job, I had to drive to the Blue Mountains area, not far outside Reykjavik, and I then went for a spontaneous short walk. I eventually came back to the car three hours later, after wandering through a lava field and ending up on top of a volcano watching the midnight sun setting behind the mountains.
