We booked this tour last minute and really enjoyed the selected destinations. This tour offers quite a diverse variety of Costa Rica's must-sees. We liked almost all of the accommodations besides Rana Roja in Tortugero. Overall everything was well organized and worked out without any problems. However we would have loved to have a little bit more information e.g. are we travelling with a group or not, all pickup times, tour details, add on tours or services and were a little bit disappointed that our group consisted only of the two of us. If you are not a good planner and or you want to save planning time and you are not on a budget, we would recommend this tour.

It was a fun tour put together. The name of this tour pretty much is what says, in which you see many different waterfalls and forest areas around the Ricon de la Vieja National Park, Monteverde, and Arenal volcano near La Fortuna. Many activities were arranged to which you see these waterfalls and forest environments such as horseback riding, nightwalk to see various animals insects and reptiles at night, hikes, and rappelling. When these activities were done usually by noon, you have the rest of the day to yourself to explore around other sites or to just relax at your hotel. I enjoyed the week I had in Costa Rica doing this tour, and I would recommend anyone who wants a bit of adventure and relaxation to go on this tour.

Overall, a wonderful trip! The pace is fast and the amount of things provided to do was very good. I would have liked to have spent a little more time in Guatemala and Honduras to get a feel for those countries (I can't really say that I have seen them on this trip) yet overall, it was a wonderful time with amazing people and beautiful locations.

Great trip run by professional tour operators. We had a great time and liked every place and activity that was part of the trip. The transfers were well coordinated and always on time. Most hotel accommodations were good and location was central to other activities. We were able to customize the itinerary to include Caribbean coast which was also really nice!

Two weeks in Costa Rica getting to explore the country's most beautiful and diverse sites was one of the most incredible adventures I have been on. The fact that all places are so unique and diverse from one another and getting to see incredible wildlife throughout the trip was fantastic.

This country is so diverse and exodus shows you that from the start! We started on the Caribbean side at Tortuguero and basically got soaked the whole 3 days we were there, it rained and it rained but our group got on with it with a smile. That area would have been wonderful if the weather hadn't been against us but it was what it was! We still suffered a bit of bad weather at Arenal and i never got to see the volcano as the cloud was on top of it all the time, the walk was lovely up to it though and the landscape is beautiful. The weather started to improve as we travelled over to the pacific side , the birds and the wildlife are abundant , we saw that many sloths on this trip we stopped taking pictures of them ha There are some long drives in this trip but never more than a couple of hours on the road without stopping, lots of views to look at and of course we stopped if the driver or guide saw anything interesting to see as well, (a couple of macaw's were spotted and we pulled over to get some great photos) The wildlife is all around you if you take the time to look, the leaf cutter ants and the ant highways through the forest floor , the frogs , the sloths... so much to see! Whilst you don't have to be a fitness fanatic for this trip , i would suggest that you are able to walk long distances and tackle some steep slopes. You can always sit by the pool if you don't want to go on the hikes but you would miss out on the whole point of the holiday if that is what you aim to do. Exodus pull it out the bag every time with the accommodation , all the rooms were lovely and well chosen , its one of the reasons i have booked with Exodus 4 times now.

This was an exceptional trip, The itinerary, pace and tour leader made it one of my best trips yet, The only thing that distracted from this was the Whitewater rafting. This was included within the itinerary and the company had set an age limit of 65 for those who rafted on the main river. There was no discussion, If you were over 65 you went on a river, more like a stream which for me was a total waste of time. So people over 65, fit and with rafting experience were relegated to a small river whilst others with no experience rafted the main river. Rafting company nonsense rules. Would have been better if the company took notice of fitness and experience or allowed people to sign a disclaimer.

We do not normally travel with escorted tours but decided to try it for this trip due to lack of planning time. I was also slightly skeptical about booking with this travel specialist having read some not so good reviews but the itinerary and price was too good. Costa Rica was much more than I assumed. This was such a good experience! Rachel was very helpful in guiding us through our booking process and helping us prepare for the trip. Our tour manager Tony was very knowledgeable and really cared about everybody on the tour having a great experience in his country. Our Costa Rica tour group only had 14 people in it, and we were all a little family by the end of our 2 weeks together. The hotels were very nice, the food was good, and the wildlife was phenomenal. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone considering it!

We loved the La Paz Waterfall Gardens and Sarapiqui River tour! La Paz is beyond beautiful with orchids, hummingbirds, frogs, toucans, scarlet macaws, parrots, coatis, sloths, ocelots, margays, and a jaguar. The gardens and waterfalls are exquisite. A wonderful buffet lunch was included. Our trip down the Sarapiqui River in a covered boat was so much fun! We saw two caimans, iguanas, Anhingas, swallows, butterflies, and five troops of Mantled Howler monkeys. Oscar and Armando, our guide and driver were so kind and taught us so much. We stopped at a lovely coffee finca to see the beans ripening, a sopa (local restaurant) in the mountains to take in spectacular waterfall and hummingbird views, we watched whitewater rafters, and sampled fresh pineapple at a farmstand. Oscar and Armando treated us like family and made our first day in Costa Rica amazing!

An excellent tour of the mountains, the Central Valley, and the Pacific coast. Before we arrived, when the kind organiser Oldemar learnt that we were going to arrive one day early, he generously arranged for a free half-day tour of San Jose city. We then started the main tour, visited the three main volcanoes Poas, Irazu and Arenal (but not the summit of Arenal - access is forbidden), and did many other things, including zip-lining, white-water rafting, observing many exotic animals and staying in the famous Tortuguero National Park. The organisation and the accommodations were very good. The only very minor criticisms that I have is that the San Jose hotel (the Barcelo) is somewhat isolated, and that the visit to the Irazu volcano occurred quite late, just as the afternoon clouds were starting to close in.

My wife and I just returned from an amazing 11-day trip to Costa Rica. Yuliana helped us to put together a private tour designed specifically for us. No amount of time and effort would have let us do it ourselves. We were most interested in the landscape and animals, and our private driver was able to take us to fabulous sights. We stayed in unusual accommodations including a tree house in the jungle and a villa at the Arenal volcano. I spent 13 days in Costa Rica and did a self-drive everywhere from Liberia to San Jose while hitting places such as Rincon, Arenal, Monteverde, Samara Beach, and Dominical to name a few and I was able to do pretty much everything I wanted to do in Costa Rica thanks to Alex's brilliant trip planning! On top of that, the hotels that were booked for me were all top notch and there were plenty of opportunities to have lunch and dinner no matter where I stayed. We had a great adventure traversing Costa Rica from the Pacific coast to the Carribbean coast. Our guide Carlos was excellent - our safety and well being together with getting the most out of this experience was his highest priority. His knowledge of the flora and fauna and local culture in the areas we travelled through enabled us to fully appreciate the beauty and uniqueness of Costa Rica . His wingman Vito made the transition from various activities effortless. As an added bonus both he and Carlos were excellent cooks! We had a great experience and would recommend the trip to others.
