I had the most wonderful time undertaking the Gokyo EBC trek back in 2017. The Apasara hotel was great, food beautiful and the staff extremely helpful. The Ruby Valley is one of the least visited trekkings I have done so far. No surprise that we were very warm welcomed in every village and took part of the local life including simple but clean homestays and delicious, freshly cooked nepaly meals. The climb to Island Peak in 2017 was a great accomplishment for me. This was a very beautiful adventure arranged by the local operator. I trekked to Everest Base Camp and on the way back, I crossed the Kongmala Pass and went to Island peak from Chukung.
