We had awesome trek to see Gurung community with the help of Sujan and the local operator. We managed historic hill trek to Siklis still retains an aura of old times. Historically, Siklis is renowned as one of the major origin places of Gurung Community. Here, we find the various ritual practices of Gurungs especially the works of Jhankri (shaman) and Lama (priest), who have important roles in marriage, death and day-to-day lives. Traditional technologies like alcohol fermentation, weaving clothes and sacks from the wild nettle, weaving various bamboo products, traditional water mills and stone grinders, wooden threshers etc are also the important features of Siklis. In this region we spot Nepals birds of prey including the 9ft wingspan Lammergeyer. The region is rich in flora and fauna particularly birds and butterfly because of its pristine forested surroundings and the great mountain views add an excitement. The experience was just awesome. I had a fantastic time all through the trek. It was extremely awesome view, great food and stay. I felt safe traveling alone through the local operator. All credits go to Upendra for planning the trip. He responds quickly and promptly. Highly treatable and took care of everything. I didn't have to worry or think about anything. Krishna was my guide and porter. Awesome friend, highly recommend him as a guide. I added Chitwan and Kathmandu tour. It was the best trip to chitwan. I did tower night, jungle walk, private safari, elephant ride. Every day was exciting and joyous. Krishna was a good guide with sharp eyes. If you wanna do bird watching and spot wildlife, highly recommend him. I saw so many rare birds. Got a lady guide Sushma for Kathmandu tour. Another extraordinary day. She added a trip to Kalabairav for me. Highly recommend her. She is calm, understanding, knowledgeable and great photographer. Very imp guide is a good photographer for solo trips. I had Krishna and Sushma help me all along the way. They are guides who turned to be great friends. We had an amazing time all along. I am so happy and proud. Love nepal!
