From the first to the last second, the expedition was not only carried out very professionally, but also with a great deal of passion and a remarkable mixture of excellent planning and flexibility depending on the environmental conditions. You could tell from the entire team and crew — each highly competent in their respective fields — how committed they are to their job, but also to Antarctica as a unique and most beautiful corner of the planet. Safety and environmental protection were taken seriously, at the same time there was always a lot of fun and a lot to learn (and a lot to eat & drink) on board. Thanks for everything !!! This trip was just perfect. This was my first cruise ever and I loved it. I thought the stop at Port Lockroy was the icing on the cake. I was really worried that we would not be able to stop there as I didn't know if it was a sure thing or not. But we went there and I got a TON of souvenirs. Unlike most people on this trip my husband had to drag me kicking and screaming to Antarctica! I am so glad he did. This has been the most amazing time. Everything surpassed my expectations. Cabins were much bigger than I had thought and the food was wonderful-thankyou Tracie and her fabulous staff Service both meals/bar and cabin was wonderful too. Overall I loved the trip, and what was offered. Again my only complaint is the accommodations. Basic is fine but cleanliness and pride of ownership should be important. I would definitely consider another G Adventures but the accommodation will weigh heavily on that decision. I love the 18-39 age group, but with upgraded accommodation.
