Loved this tour, fast paced but not too much, really well structured so you felt you saw all of the must sees in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. Highlights have to be the Fjords and ABBA Museum. Used good hotels, all comfortable, great breakfasts and close to good public transport. Did most of the optionals and would really recommend them, they were usually far cheaper than doing it yourself. First tour with Expat, they offer really good value and we will be using them again

I absolutely loved this tour. Whilst being packed full of things to do and see, the mornings weren't too early and I didn't feel like we were spending all our time on the road so it really felt like a holiday as well as a wonderful sightseeing experience. My only suggestion for improvement would be to add Krakow on as I think that would be a more valuable and interesting addition than Warsaw. Otherwise this tour was wonderful! Highly recommended!

Honestly I really enjoyed everything. But if I had to pinpoint a favourite I think it would be how often we saw the northern lights. Due to the extreme weather conditions - a blizzard in October, we saw them almost every night which I think makes us really lucky, as I was expecting it to be much harder to see them. Additionally, I was pleasantly surprised by the adaptability of our day plans by our TM and Driver when we needed to be kept safe, and had delays to departures on some days due to snow, icy roads, and strong winds - we still managed to see everything we would have in the end and made some surprise pit stops too! I was super stoked with the glacier hike, but it would be even more incredible if it was longer. The only way I think this trip could be improved would be to have the start time earlier so the first day is actually a full day, and start the travel straight away! Why do we need to stay in Reykjavík on the first and last night? It could easily be changed to make the trip feel like you see even a tiny bit more.

18th Sept 2025 departure. Absolutely fantastic tour led by the effervescent Tove, a native Norwegian lady who imparted her love for all things Norway to us in fun ways during the tour. Norway astounded me with her natural beauty, the first wow moment on day one of touring was at Voringsfossen, an incredible waterfall with amazing views down the valley. And things just got better from there. A lovely mix of hotels in beautiful locations, a couple of 2 night stays were welcome for a more relaxed pace as well. Blessed with fantastic weather for most of the trip with a sunny day at Geirgangerfjord and an impromptu berry picking stop along the way. It was a good mix of experiences from fjords, glaciers, coastal, cultural and has definitely whet my appetite to see more of Norway in the future. Great group of people on the tour as well. It was a fantastic experience all around and makes me keen to join another Back Roads Tour in the future. Tove is an absolute treasure - you will be incredibly lucky if you have her as your guide on this tour.

Great tour with a small group to see parts of Denmark and Sweden that you would normally not see when traveling on a big tour. Accommodation was excellent and it was also great to spend time in small towns and to stay somewhere other than big hotels
