Excellent trip, fantastic sightseeing with a great group and an excellent guide! The pace was full on but everything worth it . The lunch with a local family, the visit of the school and the dinner with a nubian family gave it a special touch and the overnight train journey was really good fun. The only downside was the poor heating in some of the hotel/cruise ship rooms, bring a woolly jumper to sleep in if you travel in winter! Our guide was fantastic, extremely knowledgeable, fun, though when it was needed and managed always to accommodate some last minute wishes:

The tour is described as ‘full on’, which is an understatement. An incredible amount of sights and experiences is crammed into the week of travel; it’s exhausting and exhilarating. Moorish architecture, Roman mosaics, snowy mountains, the Sahara desert, souks and camels and macaques. Amazing.

Traveling solo can be overwhelming, but the team made me feel safe, seen, and taken care of throughout the 9 days. Every detail was handled with care, from airport pickup to checking in at luxury hotels and the cruise.
My guide, Hany, was simply the best. He had a deep understanding of Egypt’s history, answered all questions with enthusiasm, and shared local insights you won’t find in books. The trip felt intimate and real, especially in Nubia and Abu Simbel where we connected with locals.
The Nile cruise was peaceful and elegant, the food was fresh and delicious, with options for vegetarians too. Staff were warm and generous, always offering help with a smile.
I left Egypt not just with beautiful memories, but with a sense of connection. This wasn’t a cookie cutter tour, it was crafted with heart.
The 11-Day Tour Morocco was fantastic. It exceeded our expectations, and we wished we could have spent more time at the majority of the locations. Karim, our tour guide, was wonderful. This tour through Morocco was varied and interesting, the landscape was surprisingly green and attractive. The towns and cities were stimulating if a bit crazy at times in the medinas. The group dynamic was great and we had a fabulous tour guide in Ibrahim who made the trip with his knowledge and enthusiasm to add value at every opportunity. For an upgraded trip some accommodation was a bit disappointing and could be reviewed.
