Everything was perfect. was an excellent tour guide. I do feel bad that he wasn’t told or us that we would be lacking a ceo tour manager. was able to make up for it. But next time contiki should let the tour group know in case people want to cancel. Some folks were not happy.

My friend and I are both retired teachers in our late 60s. We’ve been to Europe a few times so we wanted to try something new and off the usual tourist path. This tour of South Africa and Dubai was a great choice. We appreciated that the pace wasn’t too fast. There were days with early starts, especially for safaris, but it was worth it. Kruger National Park was incredible. We saw a herd of elephants. Seeing a baby elephant brought tears of joy! The guides knew exactly where to look and explained everything clearly. Both of us are fans of good wine, so we chose to do an optional tour of the winelands in Stellenbosch. We tried a variety of wines and cheeses. It was surely a wholesome day. Dubai was something else entirely. So modern and so clean. We saw Burj Khalifa and wow, it's massive and elegant in a way. We were comfortable the whole way. I’d say this was a great trip, and you can try it, too.

The trip to Saudi Arabia was amazing. It was a full packed trip with a variety of experiences. There were so many highlights for me - The Prophet's Mosque, Hegra, Yanbu (boat ride and snorkeling), the Camel Market and seeing so many camels along the way, just to mention a few. Our tour leader, Daniel was incredible! He was very organized, knowledgeable, thoughtful and created an enjoyable and informative experience for everyone. The local tour guides were also great and answered so many questions. I was impressed by how welcoming and friendly the Saudi people were to us. It was a memorable and eye opening experience that I will treasure.

I had an amazing experience on this desert safari! The dune bashing was thrilling, the camel ride gave a real feel of the desert, and the quad biking was pure adventure. In addition to the expected highlights of Petra, Wadi Rum, snorkelling in the Red Sea and floating in the Dead Sea, the unexpected delights of visiting a local family at Um Qais (and cooking/dining with them), the expansive Roman ruins at Jerash and our extraordinary driver Firas made this trip wonderful.
