My husband and I had a wonderful experience on our recent Expat explore tour "Europe Escape", from 01 - 12 Dec 2024. The tour started and ended in Rome, we were given a good appreciation of both the City and quaint little town along the route which took us to Venice, Tuscany, Florence, Múnich, Rhine Valley, Ámsterdam, Ghent, Paris, Burgandy, Beaune, Montmatre, Lake Como, Rome, the Swiss Alps!! Oh wow! This was such an amazing trip! Our guide, Roma was so knowledgeable and made it even more exciting with her bubbly personality, and our bus driver, Ishti made us feel so safe on the roads...they were truly awesome! I know that keeping a large group together is no easy feat, but they made us feel like family. They shared very helpful tips about the local places, information that you would not normally know as a tourist. Our guide, Vili, did a wonderful job of creating a cohesive group that was supportive, friendly, and fun. The Matterhorn had to be the best experience. The tour included many nice stops. The tour guide was very young and inexperienced, however, he made the tour enjoyable. The stop at Elvas was awful. The town was vacant and nothing was open for dinner. We had to eat at the hotel but they weren’t prepared to feed the entire tour group. That was poor planning! The hotel was beautiful but my room overlooked what looked like a slum with barking dogs all night. My favorite spot was Peñíscola where I would have like to spend more time. Also would have liked more shopping time alotted. Otherwise the trip was very nice and I would recommend it.
