Our group Explore Leader, Filip Kolic, is highly professional in ensuring our trip is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. He's quick in problem-solving and forward thinking for example he's on top of organising alternative transport back-to-back for our group when early news of regional floodings and landslides had caused disruptions of the railway and road connections to our next destination. Great job there as we were able to reach our next city to continue our planned guided city tour, although quite short. We managed to celebrate our trial & tribulation at a lovely quick dinner next to our hotel! All went well with extra National Park sceneries and travel experiences!

Starting in Barcelona, the tour offered an exquisite exploration of the main destinations in the south of Spain, immersing us in the regions rich culture, delectable food, captivating attractions, and unique excursions. Our guide, a local expert, provided us with exceptional communication and profound knowledge about the area, enhancing our journey with insightful narratives. Some highlights include the palaces/castles, sea towns, food, iconic sites such as La Sagrada Familia, architecture that was influenced by different religions over time Primarily christianity Islam. Our group in Spain was a vibrant mix of English speaking tourists from around the globe, which was fun.
What set this tour apart was the seamless transition to Morocco via ferry. Upon arriving in Morocco, the composition of our group shifted predominantly to Spanish speakers from various countries. However, the consistent provision of English-speaking guides ensured that language barriers were non-existent, allowing for an inclusive and enjoyable experience for everyone. In Morocco, we were guided by Souzie, a local whose exceptional knowledge and engaging personality made him unforgettable. He is an excellent guide and cant highly recommend him more. He did an excellent job of blending social interactions, information, and fun into our journey. In terms of sites to see, Morocco has a lot - from Marrakech market, to major cities like Casablanca, and the breathtaking Sahara, truly remarkable. Being guided by Souzie was a privilege that enriched our understanding and appreciation of Moroccos cultural and scenic beauty. Food and accommodations in Morocco were excellent

A comprehensive ride along the full length of the Portuguese Camino from Lisbon to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. The Portuguese Road, or Caminho Portugués, is considered by many as the most spiritually connected pilgrimage route. Following the path St James' body took to its resting place at the site of Santiago de Compostela in Spain, the quieter Portuguese path offers a wealth of history and delightful landscapes to discover. While the Caminho Portugués is traditionally walked by pilgrims, it is now possible to enjoy the route by bike. Starting in the historic capital city of Lisbon you will cycle through countryside towns to the university town of Coimbra. Continue on to the lively city of Porto, set on the banks of the Douro River and famous for its port wine production, the cycle through small hamlets, past eucalyptus and pine woods, over ancient bridges and through larger market towns dating back to Roman times. We explored iconic French towns like Giverny and Amboise, and that day in Mont-St-Michel was something I’ll remember forever. The Spain portion felt like a warm breeze after the cooler French north..Montserrat’s mountaintop monastery was stunning, and I loved our time in Barcelona. The evenings were ours, which meant we could explore or just relax with a glass of wine.
I met people my age from across North America, and it was so refreshing to travel with others who wanted to experience culture, but not at a breakneck pace. Highly recommend for anyone who wants that balance of exploration and comfort.
