The South Korea Japan Trip was amazing I truly could not have asked for a better travel experience. Our Trip was in Nov 2022 during Thanksgiving, and we had some fantastic weather not too cold and not too hot - it was perfect. Both countries were beautiful, but I especially enjoyed Japan. Our guides were awesome esp. Rei and David : and the places we saw were like no other Buddhist temples, Shinto temples, seeing the Snow Monkeys, the magnificent gardens, what an experience We also had a really great tour group. The people we met on our journey were the best. The hotels were excellent, and the food was good too. There were not as many vegetarian options as I thought there would be so just be mindful of that if you have dietary restrictions and make sure to tell the guide in advance. I would highly recommend this trip if you are considering it. You will NOT be disappointed. Thank you Europamund for making this an unforgettable experience. Happy Travels
This was one of the best trips I have been on in years. I was pleasantly surprised at how kind the Chinese people were. Our guide was absolutely fantastic, and probably one of the most knowledgeable I’ve ever had! Nothing was ever too big or too small for him and he’d always recommend additional activities in our spare time. China is like no other Southeast Asia country, and its vast development is fascinating! You get to see the modern day, China, as well as the old historic sites. If you enjoy your food, you will not be disappointed by the options on this trip what makes it even better if you only pay about 6 pounds for a huge dinner!!
The trip was great, couldn't ask for a better tour. Cherry Blossom season is the time to go as the scenery is just beautiful. The Japanese people are as friendly as you could want. Jamie and Kanako made a great team that worked very well together to make sure we had such a good time. This trip will go back on my list of trips I want to do in next few years because I liked it so much.
The tour was phenomenal.
I learnt lots of things about Japan in this tour. Also enjoyed all the moments with our peers.
Ken and Nadia are really awesome tour guides. They have all the information I was looking for.
I really recommend this tour to everybody especially because of lovely knowledgeable tour guides. Thank you.
Step into a world where tradition and technology harmoniously intertwine on the "Premium Japan" tour package. Crafted for experienced travelers and seniors, this 12-day, easy-paced journey begins in Tokyo, where futuristic skyscrapers rise beside centuries-old shrines. With an expert local leader guiding the way, you’ll discover the tranquility of Hakone’s hot springs, the Edo-era charm of Takayama, and the rural beauty of Shirakawa-go’s thatched villages.
In Kyoto, immerse yourself in the city’s intricate tapestry of temples, gardens, and geisha culture. Along the way, find peace in Hiroshima’s memorial parks and deepen your appreciation of Japanese cuisine with a sushi-making class led by a local expert. Soak in the rejuvenating waters of an onsen, and let each day reveal new facets of Japanese life—from bustling urban centers to serene mountain retreats.
This guided small group tour includes thoughtfully selected accommodations, delicious meals, and seamless transportation, allowing you to relax and soak in every moment. The unique selling point of this trip is its balanced immersion in both Japan’s ancient customs and its dynamic modernity. Whether you’re captivated by castles, holy mountains, or culinary artistry, this tour offers a comprehensive and comfortable introduction to Japan’s diverse wonders—perfect for those who appreciate both depth and ease in their travels.
Great trip but with long bumpy off road drives. Accommodation in Gers the first week was very basic, Gers having big gaps for cold air and small animals to enter. Some of the shared showers only had cold water. I slept in my coat a couple of nights in the mountains as only 5 degrees and too cold to face a tepid shower. Food however was a surprise being a non red meat eater, the alternative was chicken with lots of fresh salads, vegetables and some fruits.
Our guide Sara was nice but lacked the skills for a large group. I had no complaints but some of the group had issues which were resolved and avoided at the next stop. Some mis information was given, so we were a little confused.
We managed to arrange with Sara and Explore a trip to the Genghis Khan statue and museum at an extra cost the last day which was worth the detour.
Camel riding in the Gobi was fun and for half hour we paid around £5.
The shogun trail tour was very good. Loved Kyoto and Japan generally, I would like to return to see and do more.
Our guide Karique was excellent, you couldn't hope for a more genial and knowledgeable tour leader.
I do believe that using public transport brings you closer to experiencing the day to day life of local people.
