I had a terrific weekend touring Darjeeling with Kiran Rai as guide and Dipu Lepcha as driver. We packed a lot of sights into a short period of time but they managed things smoothly so it never felt rushed. Kiran was extremely knowledgeable about everything and gave me a lot to learn and think about throughout the weekend, as we discussed the background of the Tibetan monastery, Buddhism, the tea industry, the politics of the hill country within the state of West Bengal, as well as history of the region from the British Raj to independence to the present day. Dipu did an amazing job driving amidst difficult traffic in Bagdogra and the mountain road to Darjeeling.

I did Mera peak with Amphu Lapcha pass and had a great experience on the trek. Pasang Sherpa is an excellent guide with very good English and he helped me in all areas where I needed assistance, merging between the professional and personal touch. The tour plan was well organized, and included everything as promised including food and beverages, sleeping in teahouses and tents, all group gear, a well-trained porter, transportation and all needed permits. In addition, I was given a full Kathmandu and around tour. And all of that was for a fair and attractive price. I'm positively sure that when I come to Nepal for additional trekking this local travel expert will be my number one choice. A fair reliable local organization that provides a very qualitative and personal service! organizational: completely successful! The communication in advance, pick me up at the airport and EVERYTHING in between until the drop me back at the airport for the return trip: everything was arranged! By banal throat infection after the peak ascent yet with heli to hospital ... where people from the local tour operator were there to assist me, Dipak came to visit me personally and check if everything went well ... 3 days later I was in Pokhara enjoy (with antibiotics)! Good insurance is extremely important! Hint: European assistance 'world sport'. The trekking & Peak climb: A dream trip that has come true !! The guide (Gyeljan) and the wearer (Nuri) did everything to make it an unforgettable journey; two fanatic people! If necessary, adjustments could be made on site at all times. Bungee and Pokhara: completely successful! The few extra days planned with Dipak on site. In Pokhara I was welcomed and dropped off at a very pleasant hotel close to Phewa Lake.
