About Hungaria Koncert Ltd

Hungária Koncert ltd. was established in 1995 to assist foreign visitors to Budapest in gaining insight into the renowned Hungarian culture. We offer not only classical music concerts and folk-dance performances, but we would also like to show our guests the most beautiful sights of the capital’s cultural heritage: our guides acquaint them with the Dohány Street Synagogue and the Jewish District, and our boat cruise programme provides an opportunity for our guests to take delight in the unique panorama of Budapest from the River Danube.

Exceptionally well organized with the owner a fair and reasonable individual. Also, as soon as I booked he set about organizing the trek immediately over WhatsApp, even though he was a very busy man (I assume because of the other good treks he runs.) Just make sure you have a good insurance company. Apparently with trekking companies it is common to include a hard to find clause stating you will fully indemnify the company if your insurance refuses to pay.

Organ concert in St. Stephens Basilica trip - alternative tour available
Music is the wine that fills the cup of silence – The phrase is especially true for the organ concerts in the St. Stephen’s Basilica. The holy building is a place where people do not speak aloud, pray in silence or come to admire the beauty of the halls from inside. On Thursday the silent sanctuary gives home to the classic melodies. The neo-classical St. Stephen’s Basilica is the most remarkable church of Hungary, one of the most significant of tourist attractions, and also the third highest building in the whole country. The program of the concert in this amazing building was adapted by Miklos Teleki who is among the best organ artists in Hungary. The arias of the program are performed by Kolos Kováts, one of the most famous concert and oratorio singers in Hungary. Among numerous prizes, in 1992 he also received the highest prize a Hungarian artist may aquire: the Kossuth Prize. The flute is played by Eleonóra Krusic who is already known for her performances with different orchestras from Barcelona, Zürich, Graz and Vienna. Program Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741) - Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750): Concerto in D minor BWV 596 (Allegro, Adagio, Allegro) Tomaso Albinoni (1671-1751): Adagio Alessandro Stradella (1639-1682): Pietá Signore Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791): Andante in C major K 315 Franz Schubert (1797-1828): Ave Maria Liszt Ferenc (1811-1866): Fantasy & Fugue on the Theme B-A-C-H Georges Bizet (1838-1875): Agnus Dei Johann Sebastian Bach: Minuet and Badinerie from suite in B minor BWV 1067 Johann Sebastian Bach: Toccata and Fugue in D minor BWV 565 Ticket is for I. category!
