day 1Arrival In Paro, Transfer To Thimphu
Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide. After meeting your fellow travellers and completing arrival formalities, begin your journey into the Kingdom of Bhutan with a scenic drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s charming capital city. The drive follows the beautiful Pa Chhu and Wang Chhu river valleys, passing traditional villages,
terraced farmland, and forested hills.
Along the way, stop at the historic Tachog Lhakhang Iron Bridge, built in the 15th century by the great Tibetan saint Thangtong Gyalpo. This peaceful stop offers a wonderful introduction to Bhutan’s spiritual and cultural heritage.
After lunch, visit, Simply Bhutan for hands-on cultural experience and participate in fun village-style games such as archery and khur (dart) and explore a recreated Bhutanesehome, learn about daily rural life, and even try simple activities like pounding rice or butter churning.
