México was as thrilling as I had hoped. The trip was designed well to provide a window on its great diversity. It was perhaps 2 days short of being optimal, in view of long overland transportation and limited hours in some destinations. The discontinuity in group guide and communication detracted from the trip.
Local guides were great and very informative. However, not sure that contractor in Mexico was not overly helpful.
This was a very worthwhile trip. We saw a lot of southern Mexico, with a journey of 1500 miles. We visited many meso american sites, Palenque, Uxmal, Chichen Itza, but also saw a lot of the country. Going by car though a long journey was much better than flying as we saw a great deal more.
The trip was very successful.. varied..all arrangements went smoothly and to plan.
