The GalaPicchu Insiders 10 Days Tour whisks experienced travelers through Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, and Peru, weaving together wildlife encounters, cultural treasures, and stunning scenery. Start in Quito’s colonial heart, then fly to the wildlife-rich Galapagos for kayaking, snorkeling, and volcanic hikes. Next, delve into Peru’s Incan legacy—exploring Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and the world-famous Machu Picchu before wrapping up in Lima’s historic streets. day 1 - Quito arrival

Today marks the beginning of your adventure! Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to explore Quito’s Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its colonial charm, or simply relax at the hotel before our orientation meeting. Our tour guide will meet you in the hotel lobby at 6:30 PM to provide a detailed briefing about the trip. If you wish to arrange a full-day excursion in Quito or its surroundings, please inform us in advance.

(This tour normally operates from Quito, but you can also start in Guayaquil. If so, please let us know in advance.)

day 2 - Fly to Galapagos (Cristobal)

Today is your departing day to the Galapagos Islands. You will fly to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno (San Cristobal Island), which will take 1.5 hours approximately.

One of our representatives will meet you at the airport to take you to the hotel for check-in (flight not included in cost). Afterwards, you will have chance to have something to eat in town near by the hotel on your own.

Kayak tour to Darwin Bay:

In the afternoon, the tour guide will meet you at the lobby to take you back to the pier to get you equipped with the kayak and snorkel gear. Then you will start a fantastic guided tour towards to Tijeretas Hill and Darwin Bay surrounded by frigate birds, blue footed boobies and sea lions. This activity is safe and good for all ages unless you have any mobility issues. Upon arrival to Darwin Bay, you will snorkel to see colorful fish and the famous green pacific turtles. Finally kayak back to the pier,

In case you are unable to do the kayak tour, we also offer hiking tour to Tijeretas Hill and Darwin Bay. In the afternoon, the tour guide will meet you at the lobby to take you to visit the most beautiful hill nearby town well known as Tijeretas Hill (nickname given by the frigate birds shape as scissors). You will hike up to the hill, then you will stop by the self-guided Interpretation Center to know more about the Capital of the Galapagos. Next, you will do snorkel at Darwin’s Bay, and finally return to the hotel for overnight.

day 3 - Kicker Rock tour

Today includes some of the best snorkeling in Galapagos on a day trip to Kicker Rock. After breakfast, a comfortable speed boat will take you along the coast of San Cristobal, boasting views of the birds and landscape from a different angle.

At the rock formation, we’ll snorkel through the channel in search of a variety of sharks, fish, turtles, rays, sea lions, and more. Enjoy a box lunch on the boat afterward, and some quiet beach time to relax before returning to town.

day 4 - Santa Cruz Island

Today, you will take a speed boat towards Puerto Ayora , Santa Cruz Island ( it will take 2 hours approx.) Then you will get to the hotel for check-in. Later your guide will take you to Charles Darwin Research Station, which is the most important research center of the entire Galapagos.

You will have some time to enjoy the town and have a quick lunch before the next activity.

Next, your guide will take you to visit a Tortoise Ranch in the highlands of Santa Cruz , where you will see a very big land wild tortoises in natural state.

day 5 - Bartolome Island

This tour will start early from town, then a bus ride towards Itabaca Canal where you will board the yatch for this excursion.

The little island Bartolome is very small and 114m high situated close to Santiago Island. When the volcano that formed Bartolomé erupted, there was not any water present resulting in large amounts of basalt on this island.

Bartolome’s surface is covered with volcanic ash, which is supposed to be blown over from Santa Cruz Island. The island consists of an extinct volcano and volcanic formations in a variety of red, orange, green, and glistening black.

Pinnacle Rock is the eroded remains of a tuff cone. This large partially eroded lava formation was created when magma expelled from the volcano reached the sea. When the seawaters cooled, the hot lava caused an explosion. The exploded particles eventually fasten together forming a rock composed of thin layers.

Bartolome’s Pinnacle Rock has become one of the most photographed sights in the islands. On the northern one (wet landing) you are allowed to swim and snorkel. Don’t miss that!

This program includes sightseeing, hike, snorkel, snorkel equiptment, lunch on board and much more. Finally, you will be taken back to Puerto Ayora for your last night at the Galapagos.

day 6 - Flight back to Guayaquil–Flight to Lima

Early in the morning, you will fly back to Guayaquil’s International Airport for your flight to Lima.

day 7 - Flight to Cusco and city tour

Today you will take an early flight to Cusco City. Upon arrival, you will be transfer to the hotel for resting and getting used to the altitude. In the afternoon, you will go on a tour around the city, known as the capital of Incas and for all its treasures. You will visit the central part of Cusco and several Inca temples such as Koricancha, Saqsayhuaman, Q’enqo and Tambomachay.

day 8 - Sacred Valley tour and Aguas Calientes transfer

In the morning, you will go on tour to the famous Sacred Valley at Urubamba Valley. We will visit Pisac ruins, Urubamba and Ollantaytambo Temple. Buffet lunch will be served at Tunupa´s Restaurant in Urubamba. Next, you will take a train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes for overnight.

day 9 - Macchu Picchu tour and Cusco return

Early in the morning, we will take a bus that will to the most beautiful Archeological complex known as Machu Picchu or Montana Sagrada for a guided tour of the site.

After the tour, you will be taken back to Aguas Calientes, where you can enjoy the town on your own visiting the markets around. Later on the day, you will take the train back to Cusco for overnight.

day 10 - Flight to Lima
